SUMMARY
For the past three years, I have been working as a tax contractor for a Houston
manufacturing company. I have been doing federal and state compliance and provi
sions for multiple entities and multiple states. This past year, I helped implem
ent new tax provision software allowing us to complete the tax returns in record
time (2 months after close). I am a highly experienced, knowledgeable and com
petent employee who can offer insight and clear-headed problem solving abilities
to any firm. During my career, I have always received above average reviews an
d was promoted quickly. I have excellent computer skills and learn new software
quickly and adeptly. I have managed accounting departments and worked closely w
ith Vice Presidents and CEOs, made presentations in monthly management meetings
and reviewed data one on one with upper management. With nearly thirty years o
f experience in financial and accounting management and six years of experience
in tax, including time spent in a public accounting tax department of a former "
Big 8" accounting firm, I can offer a variety of skills and competencies. In add
ition to experience in accounting management for several small corporations and
large multinational corporations, my husband and co-owned and operated a small b
usiness servicing and maintaining Xerox equipment.
