Proposal for food services to an IT organization

We are presenting a proposal for food services to an IT organization. We would be


providing lunch and beverages to the employees of the organization. The food that
we are providing would be pure vegetarian and our service would not comprise of
any non – vegetarian food. We would also provide beverages like soft drinks,
mineral water, tea, coffee and desserts.

We are providing the food services to this organization because we have


researched that there is a need of a good quality food service provider which will
provide them proper cooked food. The cafeteria of the organization provides only
the fast food item which is costly as well as not satisfactory. Above all, each and
every employee cannot afford the food item which is apart from costly is not good
for health.

The food that we are providing is fresh and healthy. Our aim is to provide proper
home style cooked food to the employees which will give them the feeling of that
they are having food at their home only. People also consider the hygiene factor
while taking food from any place, for that would take some steps like:

1.To clean up the place after every 20 minutes.

2.Keep the food cover by clean utensils.

3.Keep the food into Hot pot.

4.Food Prepared by trained cook.

We are providing veg. food because we have analyzed that around 60% of the
employees working in this organization are Vegetarian. So, considering the
customer satisfaction factor we would not provide non vegetarian food to the
employees because it can hurt the sentiments of the employees.

Another reason for we are not providing non vegetarian food is that not every
employee eats non-vegetarian each day. Besides that, people generally tend to have
healthy and light food, whereas non- vegetarian food items will be heavy as
compared to vegetarian food items and employees also feels sleepy after taking
heavy lunch. For this reason they prefer to have proper food than fast food. The
lunch that we would provide will be cooked in less oil as people have become
health conscious.

COST

Cost will include purchase of raw material, wages, fuel charges, transportation
expenses and miscellaneous expenses. Full dish will be provided every day. Sweets
will be provided twice in a week. Cost cutoff is as mentioned below.

Cost of lunch for 200 employees in the organization = Rs. 10,000 per day

Purchase of raw material = Rs. 4,000 per day

Wages = Rs. 1,500 per day

Fuel expenses = Rs. 2,000 per day

Transportation expenses = Rs. 1,000 per day

Miscellaneous expenses = Rs. 1,000 per day

PRICE

The price of the food that we are providing is:

1.Mini Meal – it will include 1veg + 4 chapatis – Rs. 25

2.Light Meal – it includes 1 veg + Dal + 3 chapatis – Rs. 35

3.Executive Meal – it includes 1 veg + Dal + Jeera Rice + 3 chapatis – Rs. 45

4.Premium Meal – it includes 2 veg + Dal + Jeera Rice + 3 chapatis – Rs. 50

We will also provide different items everyday depends on meal type.

For Example-

Monday- Matar Paneer (Veg) , Dal

Tuesday- Aloo Dum (Veg) , Rajma

Wednesday- Aloo Matar (Veg) , Mix Dal

Thursday- Aloo Gobhi / Bhindi (Veg) , Kari

Friday- Mix Veg , Dal Makhni

Saturday- Chole (Veg) , Rajma

In Premium Meal there are one above mentioned veg and one Paneer veg

On Monday Paneer with Mix Veg

DISCOUNTS
Discounts will offered to the employees on special occasions like Diwali parties,
Christmas parties, New Year parties, etc or any other occasion. Special offers will
be introduced in the menu list.

We are also providing special schemes for monthly offerings:

1.Mini Meal – Rs. 700 per month

2.Light Meal – Rs. 900 per month

3.Executive Meal – Rs. 1100 per month

4.Premium Meal – Rs. 1250 per month

OBJECTIVE

 To provide healthy, fresh, nutritious food.

 To supply cost effective food.

 To save time of employees by availing food in their own campus.

 To become a reliable food supplier in the organization for a long time.

UNIQUE SELLING POINT (USP)

Our unique selling point is hygienic food and price. We are providing the various
food combos which ranges from Rs. 25 to Rs. 50. We have priced the offerings
keeping in mind the affordability of all employees. As mentioned earlier we are
providing hygienic food cooked in hygienic place. Apart from this we have taken
into consideration the values and sentiments of the employees.

BENEFITS

The benefit of the service that we are providing to the employees is that they are
going to save time as they do not have to go outside the organization for lunch and
refreshments like tea and coffee. As we are providing the food at reasonable price,
employees will save their hard earned money and can have good quality product.

People will save more money if they opt for the monthly scheme. People will have
the feeling of home cooked food while having the same as we will try our best to
provide the taste as similar to the taste of home cooked food.

We would also provide commission to the organization at 5% of the profit we earn.


This will be another benefit for the organization and on the other hand they would
be also assured about the health of their employees.

SUMMARY

Providing good hygienic food with an affordable price to the employees will be our
motto towards the organization. We have planned to give our best to the
organization which will be helpful for the employees to work in a good healthy
mind unlike the former scenario. Consistency is the target which we will be
looking at.
