Dear Human Resources

I have 18 years of experience with in a corporate environment developing and ma

naging employees. My educational background has given me the ability to recruit,
train and teach in creative and effective ways. I have taught courses at the co
llege level. Working now for Finish line I am a District manager with three stat
es Ohio, PA, and Maryland. Working with Giant Eagle I have learned and implement
ed the management principles of the Toyota Way, this is a very successful, pract
ical and quality way of working, I also put together all the fund raisers and wr
ote for grants. With Giant Eagle I was overseeing 80 stores very successfully. M
y experience with Afterthoughts has given me the ability to train, hire, work wi
th P&L, and come up with creative ideas to increase sales. In a two year span my
district increased by 78%. I was also in charge of ordering fixtures and create
the way the new designed stores were going to look with the fixtures and mercha
ndise that I was responsible to purchase and created plan o grams for the new de
sign. I have a great relationship with a local company who designs and manufactu
res equipment for all industries needs. I have also been purchasing items and eq
uipment for my husband's business for the 20 years he has been in business. The
reason for my leaving Afterthoughts was because Claire's purchased them and all
the upper management positions were dissolved. When planning events for Giant Ea
gle I had to negotiation with many vendors so they would become part of the show
then we had to plan and purchase fixtures, equipment, and product to provide a
successful event. I have done many events including the Race for the Cure in Cle
veland and Pittsburgh, the Hall of Fame opening game for the past 5 years, all o
f our grand openings, fund raisers at the Heinz stadium, and many food shows. I
feel that I would be an asset to your company and would love to have the opportu
nity to show you what I could bring to the table.
Thank you
Sincerely,
Marrissa Patrone
