Programming Experience
Java Class: Semester-long project in which I designed and programmed a poker gam
e. Interface was made through a GUI where the user had variables at their contr
ol or choice selection i.e. number of players and number of rounds to be played.
Tabbed windows were used as a statistical method for tracking rounds played a
nd displayed in different panes within that Tabbed Window. I
UNIX Class: Wrote an interactive blackjack game.
Senior Project: Software lead for senior group project. Our assignment was to m
ake a sky map utility. Through a GUI, the user would input a date, time, and lo
cation in latitude and longitude in degrees and minutes and a jpeg image of the
star map would be generated off screen and saved in a file for later use. The sk
y map displayed the stars, planets and Messier objects that were visible from th
at latitude and longitude at that time and date.
