Toronto – Litter Audit

A recent litter audit done by one of Canada’s largest
cities found that paper products represented over 40
per cent of all large littered items. Other large items
littered included: plastics packaging (13%), confection-
ery (9%), cups (6%), construction (5%), beverage bottles
(5%), tobacco (4%), other containers (3%), bags (3%)
and others.

In terms of small litter, there were a variety of products

and materials littered.
