1. R out of Haggen, walk in front of all
stores and past Staples at end of
shopping center.
2. R on unmarked road.
3. R on 90th, Hedges Creek wetlands
on your right.
4. R on Sweek. Continue to Tualatin
Heritage Center on your right.
Note #1
5. Pass Tualatin Heritage Center and
police station on your right as
Sweek becomes Tualatin Rd..
6. Cross Tualatin Rd. at crosswalk
just past police station, crossing to
Tualatin Animal Clinic. Note #2
7. L to 86th Ave., Quick R on 86th ,
Note #3
8. R at Cherokee to asphalt walk path
which soon takes a right angle
turn. Note #4
9. L at end of asphalt walk path to
cross railroad tracks.
10. Immediate L to enter
Tualatin City Park on unmarked
road.
11. Walk under railroad trestle
to enter marked concrete bike
path.
12. R just before pedestrian
bridge overTualatin River, onto
trail through woods.
13. Continue on trail until you
leave the woods, keeping Tualatin
River on your left. Ignore side
trails.
14. Go straight to pass under
railroad trestle, continue
through across small lot past boat
ramp on L, and through park on
walk path, keeping Tualatin River
on your left. (Restroom by play
area, at 8.5K)
15. L on asphalt path past play
area, towards the low buildings.
Keep the river on your left. When
you see the first building ahead,
with a big W on the chimney…
16. Pass to right of this
community building to parking lot.
17. Cross parking lot, left on
walk path,
18. Quick right to cross Hedges
Creek on wooden bridge and
continue ahead road which is
Boones Ferry (unmarked here).
Hedges Creek joins the Tualatin
River not far from here.
19. R on Boones Ferry to first
crosswalk in a few yards. Cross
Boones Ferry, go L on Boones
Ferry.
20. Quick R at first unmarked
road, with Dead End sign.
Continue on sidewalk to
Commonwealth Lake.
21. L at lake and circle all the
way around lake, keeping lake on
your right.
22. Cross bridge, L just after
bridge at end of circle to return to
Boones Ferry along same sidewalk
you came in on.
23. L on Boones Ferry.
24. L at T intersection onto
Boones Ferry. Notice the white
house across the intersection
behind the hedge, and the brick
building on your corner. Note #5
25. Cross Boones Ferry at
Nyberg Rd. into Haggen parking lot
and back to start..
Note #1 The Heritage Center was
previously a pioneer Methodist church
located on the corner of Boones Ferry &
Tualatin-Sherwood Rd. It was moved
here in 2005. The original church was
destroyed by fire in 1925 and rebuilt in
1926. Hours are 10am-2pm, Mon-Sat.

Note #5 The brick building on your
corner was moved back about 50 yards
in 2006 to save it from demolition. It is
one of the oldest buildings in Tualatin,
originally Rich’s store. Across Boones
Ferry Rd. through the hedge is the
Sweek House, the oldest remaining home
in the ‘original Tualatin.’ Rev. Nov.
