Trinity GESE Grades 3-4

Gli esami Trinity GESE (Graded English Speaking Exams) sono esami indirizzati a tutti gli studenti di lingua inglese
e organizzati in quattro livelli: initial stage (Grades 1-3); elementary stage (Grades 4-6); intermediate stage (Grades
7-9); advanced stage (Grades 10-12).

Nei Grades 3-4 l’esame assume la forma di un colloquio orale tra il candidato e l’esaminatore. Il candidato deve
essere in grado di:
• capire l’esaminatore parlare di temi a lui familiari;
• avere una conversazione con l’esaminatore, scambiando informazioni e esprimendo opinioni su aspetti della
vita quotidiana o su temi di interesse.

Trinity GESE Grade 3


L’esame Trinity GESE Grade 3 consiste in una conversazione di circa sette minuti tra il candidato e l’esaminatore:
• il candidato entra, saluta, si presenta e l’esaminatore rivolge al candidato alcune domande personali;
• il candidato risponde ad alcune domande dell’esaminatore e rivolge almeno una domanda all’esaminatore;
• alla fine della conversazione, il candidato ringrazia e saluta.

Per il superamento dell’esame il candidato deve dimostrare di essere in grado di capire e utilizzare il lessico, le
funzioni e la grammatica previste per il Grade 3 e per quelli precedenti.

L’esame Trinity GESE Grade 4 consiste in una conversazione di circa dieci minuti tra il candidato e l’esaminatore:
• il candidato entra, saluta e si presenta e l’esaminatore rivolge al candidato alcune domande personali;
• il candidato e l’esaminatore dialogano su un topic che è stato preparato dal candidato: il candidato risponde
ad alcune domande dell’esaminatore sul topic e in relazione ad esso, rivolgendo almeno una domanda
all’esaminatore;
• il candidato risponde ad alcune domande dell’esaminatore su due subject areas proposte dall’esaminatore;
• alla fine della conversazione, il candidato ringrazia e saluta.

Per il superamento dell’esame il candidato deve dimostrare di essere in grado di capire e utilizzare il lessico, le
funzioni e la grammatica previste per il Grade 4 e per quelli precedenti.

6 Pensa a tutte le parole che conosci che potrebbero esserti utili per parlare del tuo topic (nomi, verbi,
aggettivi, avverbi, espressioni). Cerca altre parole nel dizionario per ampliare il tuo lessico e scrivile
nel quaderno. Accertati di conoscere la pronuncia di tutte le parole che hai trovato.

7 Pensa ad alcune domande ulteriori che l’esaminatore potrebbe farti sul tuo argomento. Scrivile nel
quaderno e prova a rispondere.

8 Pairwork A coppie, esercitatevi a parlare del vostro topic per almeno cinque minuti. Dai al tuo
compagno il tuo Trinity Topic form. Il tuo compagno ti fa delle domande e tu rispondi. Poi
