Building construction products such as panels or blocks can be made lightweight. Density
and strength can be adjustable during production. The production of lightweight concrete
is simple by just the preparation of cement mortar slurry with appropriate proportions and
production of foam mixing the two to get a single material. Lightweight foam concrete's
biggest advantage is the fact that it can be produced right on the spot of construction,
which is possible thanks to the portable foaming generator, a compact tool which ensures
constant foam production. The produced can be used for casting into the necessary shapes
and can be pumped straight to where it is required. Lightweight concrete doesn't settle,
requires no compaction and has excellent load
spreading.
Lightweight and free flowing, it is a material suitable for a wide range of purposes and
applications such as roofing insulation, trench reinstatement, void filling, road sub-base,
floor construction, sewer infilling, storm drain infilling, culvert abandonment's filling,
culvert’s or bridge approach, subway abandonment's filling, bridge strengthening, bridge
decks, large diameter shaft and tunnel abandonment's, bridge abutments, slope protection,
basement infill, vault infill, pipeline infill, tank infill, fuel tank Infill, swimming pool
infill, raising the levels of flooring, under floor infilling, train platform infilling/re-
profiling, floor and roof screeds, panels and blocks production, wall casting, complete
house casting, sound barriers walls, sub-surface for sport arenas,
aircraft arresting beds, road crash barriers, floating barge, jetties platform, floating homes
and many more.
LCM foaming agent is derives from Palm oil biomass process by way of cellulose
hydrolyzed process to extracts protein cells, also by hemicelluloses and hydrolysis
yielding process. It causes no chemical reaction but serves solely as a stable foam
wrapping material for the air to be encapsulated in the concrete (mortar slurry). It is bio-
degradable.
LCM can be considered as a Designer's dirt which has a total of more than 100 mix, you
actually can control the density of the cement or cement and sand slurry by adding the
foam batch out from LCM foaming generator, LCM starts with 1800 density for it's
highest down to 300 for it's lowest mix. The density alone has 31 type of mix. Each mix
has 4 to 6 types of compressive strength, for example, a 1400 density can have a
compressive strength of 25 MPa if a cement sand ratio is 1 to .5, the same density of 1400
will have a lower compressive strength if cement sand ratio is 1 ( cement ) to 2 ( sand )
and above.
We have even try out a 1800 density mix that is has a 1 part cement to 12 parts sand ratio
and it is call soilcrete where it replace compacted earth, but still is a lightweight concrete.
