The work shall consist of furnishing of materials, labor and equipment necessary for
the construction to complete the perimeter fence as shown on the plans and as
specified herein.
2. Location:
The perimeter fence shall be staked out and the grades established as shown on
drawings and in accordance with the local building code. All fills shall be placed on
layers not exceeding 0.15m (6”) thickness each layer being thoroughly compacted by
wetting and or tamping or rolling.
Excavation and Backfilling shall conform to grades indicated on the drawings. If the
required safe bearing capacity of soil is not obtained at excavation indicated the
excavation shall be continued until the safe bearing power is obtained. No footing
shall be placed on fill. The materials excavated shall be placed as backfilling around
the perimeter fence footing, . . . etc. After forms shall have been removed. The same
shall be compacted as described above.
4. Concrete Work:
5. Walling:
Walling elevation shall be of 4” thick concrete hollow block with plain cement finished.
Reinforcement bars of ½ diameter in size shall be used on the footing and columns
with 3/8” diameter horizontal ties.
6. Hardwares:
Rough and finishing hardwares shall be provided for the completion of the work. All

SECTION I . EARTHWORKS
The work shall include the removal of trees and other materials that could disturbed the
progress of works. All rotten materials shall be removed and be replaced with sound
materials. The natural ground must be leveled for easy positioning of stakes and batter
boards during layout activity.
1.2 Stakeout:
New building lines shall be staked-out and all lines and grades shown on the drawings
shall be established before any excavation shall commence. Basic batter boards and
references to the work shall be erected at least 70 centimeters away from the building
lines so that they will not be disturbed during the construction of the foundations.
All excavation works for the foundations shall be made to lines and grades as shown the
plans or as directed by a Civil Engineer or Architect. For safe bearing capacity of the soil,
the depth of excavation for column and wall footings shall be 100 centimeters and 60
centimeters, respectively or as shown in the plans. If water is encountered during
excavation, it shall be removed by means of pumping or be done manually by pailing to
prevent soil side slope to be eroded.
1.4 Backfill:
After forms are removed from the footings, if there is any, and when concrete is hard
enough to resist pressures resulting from the weight of the filling materials, backfilling
works shall commence using materials from excavation or from other source which are in
good quality such as Sandy Clay, Gravelly Clay. Backfill materials shall be placed in layers
not exceeding 20 centimeters and shall be watered and compacted thoroughly by tamping
manually.
Concrete Proportions:
Class “A” Concrete – 1:2:3 mixture consist of one (1) bag cement, two (2) parts of sand
and three (3) parts of gravel shall be used for all footings, columns and beams. This
mixture shall also be used for all plastering less the gravel.
Class “B” Concrete – 1:3:4 mixture consist of one (1) part of cement, three (3) parts of
sand and four (4) parts of gravel shall be used for slab-on-fill. This mixture shall also be
used for CHB fillers and mortars less the gravel.
CHB to be used for walls and partitions as shown on the drawings shall be 4” thick by 8”
width by 16” length and shall have an average compressive strength of 250 psi.
Before concrete is placed, all saw dust, chips and other construction debris and
extraneous matters shall be removed from the interior of the forms. All forms shall be
properly secured to avoid misalignment of structural members. After concrete is placed,
water curing shall be applied in the morning and afternoon for 14 days to keep the
concrete in moist condition.
Forms shall conform to the shape, line, grade and dimensions of the members as shown
on the plans. They shall be mortar tight and rigidly framed to prevent displacement or
sagging between supports and shall be able to resist the pressure due to tamping and
vibration of the concrete without deflection from the prescribed lines.
111.1 General:
All lumber to be used shall be of approved quality of the respective kinds of species
required for the various parts of the works. It shall be well seasoned, thoroughly dry and
free from large, loose or unsound knots, saps, shakes or other imperfections
impairing their strength, durability and appearances. All carpentry and wood works shall
be of good workmanship. Roof framing lumber shall be of rough dimensions. All exposed
wood works shall be smoothly dressed and well sand papered or as directed by a Civil
engineer or an Architect.
1. Doors – Door as shown on the plans
1V. 1 Description
For glass jalousie windows fully equipped with fixing accessories and locking devices and
others as shown on the plans and in accordance with specifications.
Roof framing shall be made of steel as shown on the plans and in accordance with
specifications and . must be full weld and smooth. All expose steel structure shall
be fully painted with steel paint.
VI.1 Roofing – Use corr. G.I.roofing made by a known manufacturer as shown and shall be
fastened well. All length in accordance with plans.
VI.2 Gutters and Flashing shall be made from plain g.i. sheets made by a known manufacturer
shall be pressed and fastened well.
VI.3 Downspouts including fittings shown on plans and shall be PVC pipes made by a known
manufacturer.

standard specifications of the Standardization Committee on Supplies, and approved
for public use by the Institute of Science and Technology. All paint/varnish materials
shall be delivered at job site in their original containers, with labels intact and seals
unbroken.
Surfaces to be painted or varnished shall be clean, dry, smooth and free from dust,
rust, grease or oil. All nail holes and cracks shall be puttied, caulked or grouted and
thoroughly sand papered before any paint or varnished is applied. All concrete and
masonry surfaces shall thoroughly neutralized either by brush or spray with a
solution of 4 lbs. of zinc sulphate to each gallon of water.
VIII.3 Workmanship:
All works shall be done in a workmanlike manner by skilled painters and vanishers.
All paints shall be evenly applied free from bags, runs, crawls, and other defects. All
coats shall be thoroughly dry before the next coat is applied. Allow 24 hours or more
