DIRECTIONS:  Read  the  following  statements.  Then  answer  whether  they  are  true  
or  false  to  the  best  of  your  knowledge.  After  you  are  done,  we  will  discuss  these  
statements  as  a  class.  
 
1.  World  War  I  was  expected  to  be  relatively  short.
