1. Tugasan ini mengandungi SATU (1) soalan sahaja yang disediakan dalam bahasa modul bercetak
kursus ini. / This assignment contains only ONE (1) question that is set in the language of the
printed module for the course.

2. Jawab dalam Bahasa Melayu atau Bahasa Inggeris. / Answer in Malay or English.

3. Muat turunkan templat tugasan versi bahasa yang berkenaan daripada MyVLE untuk penyediaan
dan penyerahan tugasan anda. Tugasan anda hendaklah ditaip dengan menggunakan saiz fon 12
Times New Roman dan langkau baris 1.5. / Download the language version of the assignment
template concerned from the MyVLE for preparation and submission of your assignment. Your
assignment should be typed using 12 point Times New Roman font and 1.5 line spacing.

4. Tugasan anda hendaklah antara 2500 hingga 3000 patah perkataan tidak termasuk rujukan.
Bilangan perkataan hendaklah ditunjukkan di hujung tugasan anda. Jangan menyalin soalan dan

dinasihatkan menyimpan senaskah tugasan yang diserahkan untuk rujukan sendiri. / You must

procedures to submit your assignment on-line. You are advised to keep a copy of your submitted

7. Tugasan anda hendaklah diserahkan antara 28 Jun 2011 hingga 10 Julai 2011. Serahan selepas

SOALAN TUGASAN /ASSIGNMENT QUESTION

The understanding of the concepts in trigonometry is essential for us. It helps us solve a
variety of application problems in our daily lives.

You are required to write a paper based on this topic. In your introduction explore the
internet on the history of trigonometry; introduce the great Mathematicians and the uses of
trigonometry. Suggest ONE activity to determine the tangent, sine and cosine of an acute
angle. Your activity must be relevant, interesting and able to attract student’s attention.

Scientific calculators have become important aids to teaching in secondary schools. It is a


tool that helps students to access mathematical concepts and experiences from which they
were previously limited to only paper and pencil. It also enhances the development of useful
mathematical understanding and mathematical power.

Suggest THREE activities to demonstrate on how to find an angle using the scientific
calculator. You may use problem solving activities. Reflect in your own words what are the
difficulties faced in the above activities, and give suggestions on how to improvise the
strategies of teaching and learning and the teaching aids.
