MATERIALI E METODI
4.1. Criteri di inclusione ed esclusione degli studi eleggibili
Nel processo di revisione della letteratura scientifica, al fine di selezionare gli studi
eleggibili per il presente elaborato, sono stati utilizzati i seguenti criteri di inclusione
ed esclusione:

psicologico; e dato il carattere della tesi, risulta utile avvalersi anche di queste
informazioni.
Nei portali di ricerca sono state inserite, opportunamente combinate tra loro in
stringhe di ricerca, le seguenti parole chiave, associate al modello PICO, che si
ritengono le più appropriate agli scopi:
La ricerca dei termini della stringa di ricerca è stata effettuata sia attraverso ricerca
libera sia tramite Mesh. In primo luogo, si è effettuatao la ricerca tramite Mesh e
ricercato gli Entry Terms più adeguati da associare in ricerca libera sia per
popolazione, intervento e outcome. In secondo luogo, sono state raccoltei sono
ricercate le parole chiave degli articoli selezionatiletti durante la ricerca grezza per
previa tesi sperimentale, inerenti al quesito di ricerca e infine, si sono combinate le
parole chiavericerche con gli operatori booleani opportuni.
La ricerca è stata effettuata da un solo ricercatore. Lo screening degli articoli, dalla
lettura del titolo e abstract e, successivamente, adella lettura del full text è stata
eseguita da parte di due valutatori indipendenti con supervisione di un terzo
valutatore.
Nel processo di revisione della letteratura scientifica sono stati inoltre impostati i
filtri relativi a:

Tipologia di pubblicazione (RCT, studi randomizzati non controllati per casi
particolari, revisione sistematiche, studi caso-controllo e treatment outcome)
Lingua in cui lo studio è reperibile (inglese; italiano).
La selezione degli studi scientifici eleggibili per la lettura del full text, e dunque
considerati inerenti e rilevanti ai fini della revisione, è avvenuta tramite:
• l’utilizzo dei criteri di inclusione ed esclusione riportati in “Tabella 2”;
• l’analisi dei titoli degli studi scientifici selezionati sulla base dei criteri di
inclusione ed esclusione;
• la lettura degli abstract degli studi scientifici selezionati sulla base della lettura
del titolo.

5. RISULTATI
5.1. Flow-chart di selezione degli studi scientifici
Il processo di selezione degli studi scientifici utilizzati per la stesura della presente
revisione della letteratura scientifica, è stato sintetizzato nel seguente flow-chart.
Nel flow-chart viene esposto il procedimento di identificazione del numero
conclusivo di studi scientifici risultati idonei successivamente all’eliminazione di
risultati ridondantiei duplicati e all’esclusione di altri studi sullain base alla lettura
del titolo, dell’abstract e del full-text. Per quanto riguarda gli studi scientifici scartati
in seguito alla lettura del full-text, vengono anche riportate le motivazioni per le
quali sono stati esclusi dalla presente revisione della letteratura scientifica.
