During the regression analysis, it is important to confirm the goodness of fit of the model and the
statistical significance of the estimated parameters. In this research the checks of goodness of fit
will include the
and the Statistical significance will be checked by an F-test of the
overall fit. a

0he formulated hypothesis states that consumption pattern has a positive influence on working
during Non standard hours, which was based on the assumption that consumption during none
standard hours will create jobs during none standard hours, hence people will be recruited to
work during none standard hours.

½ " as per the results above, we don¶t have a strong linear relationship between the
two variables. at a glance, we can see several outliers. 0his indicates that for several sample,
zero or very low correlation exist.

0his can be explained due to the fact that Consumption during non standard hours does not
create the desire to work during non standard hours. However, consumption during non standard
hours does create job during non standard hours, hence people accept to work during non
standard hours.

a " is confirmed by the scatter plot

as can be seen from table 6-1, the correlation coefficient between (consumption pattern) and
(working during non standard hours) is 0.329, there is a medium correlation between a
(consumption pattern) (working during non standard hours)

0he test statistic is the F value of 18.58. at 5% level of significance, we have that F.05; 1, 153 =
3.90. Since the test statistic is much larger than the critical value, we reject the null hypothesis.
We conclude that there is a (statistically) significance evidence that Consumption has a positive
influence on working during non standard hours.
