platforms.

life.

will learn.
• Students should be able to connect things they learn with their community.
• Students should be able to connect things they learn with their family.
• Students should be able to connect things they learn with their friends.
• The teacher should effectively teach her students individually.
• Students should be given exactly what is expected of them from the very beginning.
• Students should be allowed to strive for what they want to do.
• Teachers should be allowed to teach the students in the way that they see fit.

• Students should be able to receive as much help as they may need.

• Students should always feel comfortable in the classroom.
• Students should be able to communicate effectively with the teacher.

THREE-STEP APPROACH TO BEHAVIOR INTERVENTION:
- Private conference with student to identify inappropriate behavior.
- Contact parent to inform them of the inappropriate behavior.
- Inform the student and parents of class detention for the inappropriate behavior.

ATTENDANCE:
It is imperative that you (your child) attend class. We will cover several different matters
each day and non-attendance will result in you (your child) falling behind on the learning process
and the knowledge of the material being covered.

TARDINESS:
If the bell rings and you are not in class, you are tardy. This will not be tolerated. If you do
not have a valid reason as to why you were late, it will not be excused.

1st tardy- Private conference (student-teacher)

2nd tardy- Call home to discuss with parent/guardian
3rd tardy- Last to eat in the lunchroom
4th tardy- Referral
