Main Character:

Phoenix Jackson: She is a poor black woman and had a mythological name, loved her
grandson

Opinion:

This story is interesting because show the love for the family, in this case Phoenix´s
grandson because from the wood where they lived, she went on foot to the town in order
to get some medicine for him in Christmas. It is a little sad too because the obstacles that
she found in her trip but she was successful in her work. The themes that the story shows
are present in our days.

Setting:

The story took place on Christmas, in a wood and a town from the south of United States,
in the 30´s when the racism was very strong.

Cultural Aspects:

The racism is a market cultural aspect that we can find in this story when the hunter
offended the woman because her skin color.

Christmas is a particular appropriate time in which to sell the story?

I think that it is a good time because the people usually look for stories that are develop in
that period, shows the familiar love and the people had money for do charity as in the
story.

Tittle Means:

The worn path can be related to her life because she had to make this journey so many
times it becomes worn down and as the path becomes worn down, she becomes worn
down physically, mentally, and socially.
