Notes

All applications shall be accompanied with:

(i) A fully completed prescribed application form;

(ii) A copy of one of the following academic qualification:-

For RTO Application:

a. A degree from any local university or a diploma from any local polytechnic in Civil Engineering or
Structural Engineering;

b. A diploma in any construction-related field from any local or foreign polytechnic.

c. A diploma or higher certificate from any foreign polytechnic in Civil Engineering or Structural
Engineering.

d. A degree from any foreign university in/or related to Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering;

e. National Certificate on Construction Supervision (NCCS).

For RE Application:
a. A university degree or any other professional qualification recognised by the Professional Engineers
Board for registration as a professional engineer under the Professional Engineers Act (cap. 253) in Civil
Engineering or Structural Engineering discipline;

b. A postgraduate master's degree or doctoral degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering from
any university recognised by the Professional Engineers Board for registration as a professional engineer
under the Professional Engineers Act (Cap. 253);

c. A Chartered Engineer registered by the Engineering Council United Kingdom in the Civil Engineering or
Structural Engineering discipline;

d. A university degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering from any university specified by the
Commissioner of Building Control in the list, which is available at the Building and Construction Authority
(BCA) website.

(iii) Letter of Acceptance from BCA/PWD

(iv) Evidence of membership of TUCSS and attendance of training courses for those seeking specialist
accreditation as RE/RTO (T)

(v) Cheque made payable to “IES”.

(Please write “IES/ACES C&S RE and RTO accreditation” and your name at the back of the cheque)

For RENEWAL, in addition to the form, kindly attach:

(i) An update of relevant work experience and details of employment as well as

(ii) Proof of attendance of at least 6 hours of training courses to obtain 6 STUs (Supervision Training Units)
approved by Committee for the past 12 months;

(iii) Testimonial from present Employer/ Professional Engineer in a sealed envelope.

(iv) Cheque made payable to “IES”.

(Please write “IES/ACES C&S RE and RTO accreditation” and your name at the back of the cheque)

NOTE:
Professional Interview is required for applicants at the age of 65 and above.

Professional Engineers (PE) with valid practicing certificate in Civil & Structural discipline are NOT
required to register.
