Jack and The Beanstalk

Once upon a time, there was a widow who lived with her only son Jack. Jack
was a thoughtless boy, but very kind hearted. They were very poor.

One day, when the widow had no food and money at all, she asked Jack to sell
her cow to the market. Then Jack went to the market and met a butcher who had some
beautiful beans in his hand. The butcher told the boy that the bean were so special and
they had great value. So, Jack gave the cow to the butcher to get the beans.

When Jack brought the beans home to his mother, she was very shocked and sad.
She was also angry for his stupidity. Jack felt very sorry. At daybreak, Jack planted the
wonderful beans.
The next day, Jack found the beans had grown up very very big and tall. The
beanstalk seemed reach the sky and even up above. Then Jack climbed the beanstalk
curiously.

After climbing higher and higher, Jack reached the top of the beanstalk. He
found an amazing castle with beautiful scenery around it.

Suddenly, a very beautiful fairy came out told Jack that castle was possessed by
Jack’s father, who was a noble knight. But a monstrous giant killed him to obtain
posession of them. Fortunately his wife and little Jack had gone to visit her old nurse who
live in valley. Hearing that, the lady decided to remain at there.

The fairy asked Jack to possess a hen that lays golden eggs and a harp that talks.
Jack had to win it back for his beloved mother.

Jack then blew the horn which hung at the castle portal. The door was opened by
a frightful giantess. She loved to see Jack. She asked Jack to be her boy. She also asked
Jack to help he do the cores.
While she spoke she dragged Jack right into the castle and hid him into a huge wardrobe
because she did not want her husband find her little boy and eat him.

Soon after that Jack saw a giant with a hen that laid the golden eggs. The giant
was sleeping and the hen stood next to him. Very softly and quietly, Jack picked up the
hen, and flew back to the beanstalk.

Jack put the brown hen down before her mother, and told her how he had been in
the giant's castle, and all his adventures. He was very glad to see the hen, which would
make them rich once more.

Jack made another journey up the beanstalk to the giant's castle one day. He
waited for the perfect time to get his father’s treasure back.

When the giant was taking a nap, Jack took up the bags of money and looked for
harp that talks.

Unfortunately, the giant woke up. With a tremendous roar he sprang from his
seat, and in two strides had reached the door.
But Jack was very nimble. He fled like lightning with the harp, telling the harp that he
was the son of its old master, the knight.

Just as he reached their own garden, Jack cried to her mother to give him the axe.
His mother ran to him with a hatchet in her hand, and Jack with one tremendous blow cut
through all the stems.
The giant came down with a terrible crash and lay dead.
Suddenly, the beautiful fairy stood before them. "Jack," said she, "you have acted like a
brave knight's son, and deserve to have your inheritance restored to you. Return to the
castle, and act as you will find needful."

Thus Jack took possession of the castle. The fairy went and brought his mother
to him, with the hen and the harp. They became rich once more. And they finally lived
happily ever after.
