NOTICE OF JOINT ENTRANCE EXAMINATION FOR ADMISSION TO
MASTER OF COMPUTER APPLICATION (MCA) COURSE, 2011
(JECA – 2011)

Admission to MCA Course offered by the different Government / Private Engineering

Colleges, Universities and Institutions of the State of West Bengal during the academic
session 2011-2012 is open to candidates who are Indian citizens and who have either passed
or are appearing in the Bachelor’s degree final examination in any discipline from any
recognized university with Mathematics and / or Statistics as one of the Subjects in 10+2+3
pattern subject to the condition that they have to appear and qualify in the Written Test to be
conducted by the “West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board.” The written test will be
held on SUNDAY, the 19th June, 2011 from 12 noon to 2-30 p.m. at specified centres.
This admission to MCA course will be governed by the reservation policy of the State
Government. There is no restriction regarding age of the candidates.
APPLICATION : Candidate intending to appear in the said Joint Entrance Examination –
2011 shall have to apply in a prescribed form which will be available from 18.04.2011 to
12.05.2011 from the Branches of AXIS BANK at Barasat (Nabapally), Burdwan,
Baharampur, Bolpur, Chinsurah, Durgapur, Darjeeling, Haldia, Jalpaiguri, Kalyani,
Kharagpur, Malda, Purulia, Siliguri, Tamluk and Kolkata & Howrah Branches are :
Behala, CIT Road, Golpark, Rashbehari, Salt Lake-Sector I, Shyambazar,
Panchanantala (Howrah) on all working days including Saturday (10 a.m. - 1 p.m.) on
payment of Rs. 400.00 (Rupees four hundred) only in CASH. Application form once sold
cannot be returned or replaced.
Application forms may also be obtained from the Office of the BOARD through Postal
request only by sending a Demand Draft of Rs. 400/- (four hundred) and Rs.100/- (one
hundred) for postal and other charges (Total Rs.500/-) to be drawn in favour of “West
Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board” payable at Kolkata / Howrah so as to reach
West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board, AQ-13/1, Sector – V, Salt Lake City,
Kolkata – 700 091 on or before 29.04.2011.
SUBMISSION : The duly filled in application form has to be sent by Speed Post only so as
to reach the Office of the Board by 16.05.2011. There is no provision for selling or receiving
(by hand) of Application Form from the Board’s Office.
