Honors Convocation. ASC President Dr. John M. Anderson
welcomed the gathered students, families, faculty, and friends
and congratulated them on their achievements.
The event recognizes the outstanding work of students
through acknowledgement of membership in a variety of honor
societies as well as the conferment of scholarships and special

Andy Glanzman, president and CEO of Northern Lights

Among his advice for these student achievers, Glanzman urged

The 4C’s Senior Citizens met April 12th with Norm Carr

HOSPITAL’S IRWIN MEDICAL ARTS CENTER

at Galeton High School, are two of the featured artists at
Charles Cole Memorial Hospital.
Students from Galeton High School have a variety of
artwork on display at Charles Cole Memorial Hospital’s Irwin
Medical Arts Center as part of the hospital’s Community Art
Showcase.
The display includes ceramic mosaics, graphics,
photography and paintings by students Mel Graber, Dom
Basile, Tyler Beacker, Chris Cizek, Billie Jackson, Rachel
Seeley, Shelly Mainus, Logan Smith, Chris Kirby, and Shiann
Snyder. Their teacher is Alyson Leach.
The Community Art Showcase features artists for about six
to eight weeks. The project has featured Jessie Vaughn, Karen
Wolf , Pat Bosworth, Alyson Leach, Leslie Kelley, Suzan
Richar, Curt Weinhold, Naomi Keller, Heather Chilson,
Lindsey Francis, Maxine Shear, Mercedes Schwartz, Jody
Osburn, Elizabeth Coyle, Megan Mesler, Jenna Maxson, Joan

• Painting season is in full swing at my house, and here are my two
favorite painting tips: One is to lightly soap the windows (glass only) and
let it dry. Any paint splatters will land on the soap, which can be easily
wiped away when the paint is dry. The other is to give locks, hinges and
doorknobs a light coat of petroleum jelly. It works the same way, and
when polished away, it leaves a nice shine to hardware.
• Cleaning windows? Use a nylon net scrubbie from the kitchen to
remove bugs from screens. It also works really well to scrub bugs off the
car grille or windshield.
