Dear Sir or Madam,

RE: Nomination Letter for Hilton Humanitarian Prize

I am writing you to nominate the Original 1-800 Charity Cars for the Hilton Humanitarian Prize, 1-800
Charity Cars was founded as Charity Cars, Inc in 1996 by CEO Brian Menzies. Located in Longwood,
Florida the 1-800-Charity Cars is a 501(c)(3) non-profit car donation organization whose mission is "to
engage in activities that will uplift humanity." In September 1998 Charity Cars was honored by
receiving the prestigious Walt Disney World Outstanding Community Service Award.

1-800- Charity Cars provides free refurbished vehicles to assist disadvantaged families in their
transition from dependency to self-sufficiency. Considered the pioneers of the free car-ownership
concept, the Original1-800-Charity Cars operates the largest free non-profit car-donation / distribution
program in the nation. To date they have awarded over 4500 vehicles to struggling families
nationwide without a single dime of Government funding! In December 2000 Charity Cars completed
its goal of national reach having given away cars in every state including Alaska and Hawaii.

Struggling families nationwide apply for a free charity car at the organization’s car distribution website
www.FreeCharityCars.org. The website was designed to make the process of choosing who receives
a free vehicle as fair as possible by providing a forum where individuals can engage the public and
pro-actively pursue their dream of car-ownership. The website also provides the charity with the ability
to quickly identify qualified recipients in communities nationwide and to match each donated vehicle
with each prospective applicant’s specific need. Surprisingly, the unique website has organically
morphed into an ever expanding, caring online community offering compassion and hope
to struggling Americans.
The Original 1-800-Charity Cars portfolio of charitable projects includes:
www.800CharityCars.org - Vehicle donation website
www.FreeCharityCars.org – Free car distribution / social networking website
www.1-877-Charity.org – America’s only free car-donation processing service for other charities. 100%
of the direct net sales proceeds from each donated vehicle are conveyed to the charity of the
donor’s choice.
Over the years their award-winning program has received an avalanche of local and national publicity
being featured on shows such as Oprah, Montel, Good Morning America, Two Guys Garage, and CBS
Morning News. Articles about this one-of-a-kind organization have appeared in the Non-Profit Times,
the Chronicle of Philanthropy, People Magazine and a host of other publications across America.

Then in October of 2010 they teamed up with Extreme Makeover Home Edition awarding a Ford
Expedition to the Gaston family from Pensacola, FL. The show later aired in December 2010.
Including the Gaston Family The Original 1-800-Charity Cars awarded over 320+ free vehicles to
struggling families in 2010 alone!

Being an individual who has personally received one of these program vehicles I can most certainly
attest to the ability they have to transform the lives of disadvantaged people. I have personally seen
them transform the lives of so many others in the past 10 and a half months that I have known of their
organization. They have helped struggling Americans to go back to work, to school, be able to make it
to their medical appointments, make it to life saving follow up care, treatments and surgeries, as well
as have helped domestic violence victims to escape their situations by simply providing them with
reliable transportation.

I can not think of a more deserving candidate for the Hilton Humanitarian Prize than Brian Menzies
and his organization Charity Cars Inc. I thank you in advance for your time and consideration of this
life changing charitable organization.

Sincerely,
