Il legno è un materiale nobile, caldo, pregiato, ma

che racchiude in se: la possibilità di dare forma.

I blocchi vengono montati a secco e collegati tra loro
con viti autoforanti ed autosvasanti comprese in ogni
fornitura, senza la necessità di strumenti complessi

blocchi in molteplici composizioni.
The blocks are dry mounted and connected
together with screws included in each
supply, without the need of complex tools or
particular skills. Thanks to this assembly
technique, the blocks can be disassembled and

The BLOCCO SYSTEM was created to make

planning easier. It consists of 4 groups:

THE ESSENCES
Tutte le forme di BLOCCO sono realizzate con legno
essiccato e stagionato. Vengono ricavate da legno massello
o lamellare utilizzando, in quest’ultimo caso Abete per
la parte interna, rivestito esternamente con una lamina
dell’essenza scelta di spessore variabile da 7 a 27 mm a
seconda della forma da realizzare.
Lavanda, Angelica, Ruta, Altea e Melissa sono realizzate solo
in legno massello a causa della loro curvatura pronunciata.

All BLOCCO pieces are made up of dried and

seasoned wood. They are made from solid or

IL MONTAGGIO
THE ASSEMBLY
Il principio delle costruzioni rende il
montaggio di BLOCCO facile ed intuitivo:

1 - incastra la prima fila a terra

2 - assembla la seconda fila ed avvita

In alcuni casi particolari come realizzazioni

di muretti a bandiera, pareti divisorie, divisori
che non arrivano a soffitto, è necessario
prevedere accorgimenti per garantirne
sicurezza e stabilità.
Le colonne, a seconda dell’altezza, necessitano
di una struttura interna di rinforzo.

CON QUALI TIPI DI LEGNO PUÒ ESSERE REALIZZATO?
BLOCCO è disponibile in 10 essenze: abete, frassino, larice,
castagno, rovere, ciliegio, nocino americano, noce nazionale, teak,
wengè.
Essenze diverse possono essere utilizzate nella stessa
realizzazione per creare effetti geometrici o meno, come riquadri,
zoccolature, etc...
Viene preferito l’utilizzo di essenze da filiera corta.
COSA VUOL DIRE “ESSENZE DA FILIERA CORTA”?
Per “filiera corta” si intende legname proveniente da foreste
italiane certificate, in cui vengono garantiti elevati standard di
qualità e rispetto dei principi etici di deforestazione ambientale.
Legnami da filiera corta sono il castagno nazionale e l’abete della
val di Fiemme.
PERCHÉ USARE BLOCCO SE ESISTE IL MATTONE
IN TERRACOTTA?
Perché BLOCCO è un prodotto ecologico, semplice da utilizzare,
leggero, caldo, accogliente, di facile montaggio senza necessità
di utilizzare colle, ma soprattutto è possibile smontarlo e
riutilizzarlo per nuove composizioni, senza sporcare né
danneggiare niente.
È POSSIBILE USARE BLOCCO IN AMBIENTI ESTERNI?
BLOCCO è un prodotto per interior design. Il nostro reparto
R&D sta lavorando per proporre soluzioni per il suo utilizzo
all’esterno; tuttavia può essere utilizzato in casi di parziale
esposizione, come ad esempio le verande. Novità al riguardo
saranno on line sul sito www.bloccoarreda.it, nella sezione

COME SI COMPORTA BLOCCO A CONTATTO CON L’ACQUA ED IN
AMBIENTI UMIDI?
BLOCCO è realizzato in legno massello o in legno di abete
rivestito con l’essenza di scelta, per cui suscettibile a variazioni
climatiche al contatto con l’acqua e all’umidità degli ambienti
che possono provocare piccole alterazioni sia nel colore che nelle
dimensioni.
La falegnameria ha adottato accorgimenti tecnici sia nella scelta
dei materiali che nella progettazione, tuttavia qualche modifica è
sempre possibile.
Ricorda che il legno è materia viva, in movimento e che spesso
erroneamente screpolature e nodi sono intesi come difetti e non
caratteristiche di qualità e di pregio che ne esaltano la naturalità.
COME SI MONTA?
Ad ogni progetto vengono allegate dettagliate istruzioni di
montaggio. L’assemblaggio di BLOCCO prevede il posizionamento
della prima fila di profili a terra, la sovrapposizione della seconda
fila ed il bloccaggio con viti autoforanti ed autosvasanti per
assicurare la costruzione.
POSSO SMONTARE CIÒ CHE HO COMPOSTO?
Uno dei punti di forza del prodotto è proprio il fatto che BLOCCO
può essere smontato e riutilizzato per realizzare oggetti diversi.
Se necessario, è possibile acquistare i pezzi o le forme mancanti
in un secondo momento per ottenere composizioni sempre
diverse e di diversa utilità.
È ECOLOGICO?
BLOCCO è ecologico. Viene realizzato interamente in legno di
prima qualità, sia massello che lamellare. Per il suo assemblaggio
non viene richiesto l’uso di colle o malte ma semplicemente di
viti, che all’occorrenza possono essere rimosse per riutilizzare i
mattoni per altre creazioni.
COME SI VERNICIA?
BLOCCO viene venduto su bancale, grezzo e smontato. Una
volta assemblata la composizione, si consiglia l’applicazione di
prodotti neutri ecologici come vernici a base acquosa oppure oli
nutrienti di origine vegetale privi di sostanze nocive.
CON CHE FREQUENZA DEVE ESSERE RIVERNICIATO?
Se la composizione si trova all’interno, non necessita di alcun
ulteriore intervento. Se la stessa si trova sotto una veranda,
dipende dall’esposizione alle condizioni climatiche.
DOVE POSSO ACQUISTARE BLOCCO?
BLOCCO si può acquistare direttamente dal produttore,
avvalendosi della consulenza dell’ufficio tecnico, oppure tramite
uno dei rivenditori autorizzati.

Un programma 3D dedicato alla progettazione con BLOCCO che

Essendo BLOCCO un prodotto di nostra proprietà intellettuale,

Si, la ditta che produce BLOCCO è una falegnameria pertanto è
in grado di fornire elementi di completamento al progetto con
il mattone di legno, sia su misura che di serie, in legno e in altri

COME VIENE SPEDITO BLOCCO?
BLOCCO viene consegnato su bancale contenente tutto il
materiale e gli accessori necessari ad una specifica realizzazione,
completo di istruzioni di montaggio.
COSA DEVO FARE AL MOMENTO DELLA CONSEGNA DEL
MATERIALE?
BLOCCO è realizzato con legno essiccato e stagionato, ma è
consigliabile mantenerlo in ambienti asciutti quando ancora
su pallet. Una volta assemblati, tuttavia, i blocchi possono
subire piccoli cambiamenti dimensionali dovuti alle condizioni
climatiche.
BLOCCO È IGNIFUGO?
BLOCCO viene venduto grezzo, pertanto non è di per se ignifugo.
Tuttavia è possibile richiedere la fornitura di vernici ignifuganti
certificate al momento dell’ordine. In questo caso, unitamente
alla vernice, vengono consegnate le istruzioni per una corretta
posa della vernice ed una dichiarazione che dovrà essere redatta
a cura del verniciatore che effettuerà tale operazione. Una volta
pervenuta in sede la dichiarazione firmata, procederemo all’invio
della certificazione ignifuga.

BLOCCO is a wooden brick for interior decoration.
HOW WAS BLOCCO CREATED?
BLOCCO was created by Sergio Martinelli, founder of
Blocco owned of the Martinelli Carpentry.
WHICH TYPES OF WOOD CAN BE USED?
BLOCCO is available in 10 wood essences: pine, ash,
larch, chestnut, oak, cherry, walnut, American
walnut, wengè. Different species of wood can
be used in the same creation to make up geometric
effects. We prefer to use wood which comes from a
short chain.
WHAT DOES “SHORT CHAIN” MEAN?
Short chain refers to wood that comes from Italian
certified forests, where high quality standards and
ethical principles of environmental deforestation are
guaranteed. Timber from a short chain are national
chestnut and fir from Val di Fiemme.
WHY USE BLOCCO IF THERE ARE CLAY BRICKS?
BLOCCO is an environmentally friendly product,
easy to use, lightweight, warm, comfortable, easy
to assemble without using glue. Moreover it can be
disassembled and reused for new compositions, without
soiling or damaging anything.
BLOCCO is a product for interior design. Our R&D
department are working to propose solutions for
exterior use, however it can be used in partial
exposure, such as verandas.

HOW DOES BLOCCO REACT WHEN IN CONTACT WITH WATER
AND HUMIDITY ?
BLOCCO is made of solid wood, or fir wood covered
with the essence of choice, so it is a living body
susceptible to climatic changes when in contact with
water and humidity that can cause slight
changes in colour and in size. Martinelli’s technical
precautions have been adopted in the choice of the
materials and in the design of the bricks, but some
small alterations may come up
Remember that wood is a living element in movement
and that cracks and knots of the wood are special
characteristics and value that enhance the naturalism
and do not represent faults or defects!
HOW IS THE MOUNTING CARRIED OUT?
For each project there are detailed mounting
instructions. The assembly of BLOCCO provides
the positioning of the first row of profiles on
the ground, then overlap of the second row and the
insertion of self-tapping screws to ensure
construction.
CAN I DISASSEMBLE WHAT I HAVE MOUNTED?
One of the peculiarity of this product is that BLOCCO
can be disassembled and reused to create different
objects. If necessary, you can buy extra pieces to
obtain a different composition.
IS BLOCCO ECOLOGICAL?
BLOCCO is environmentally friendly. It is made of
the highest quality of wood; solid or lamellar. To
assemble, the use of glues is not required but simple
screws that could be removed to reuse the blocks for
other creations.
HOW DO YOU PAINT IT?
BLOCCO is sold on pallet, raw and unassembled. Once
assembled the composition, it is recommended the
application of neutral ecological product, like
water-based paints or vegetal derived nutrients oils.
HOW OFTEN DOES IT HAVE TO BE REPAINTED OR
REFURNISHED?
If the composition is inside, it does not need any
further intervention. If it is under a porch, it
depends on the exposure to the weather conditions.
DOES MARTINELLI PRODUCE BLOCCO ONLY OR/AND
CARPENTRY WOODWORK?
YES, the company that produces BLOCCO is a carpentry,
therefore it is able to provide elements for the
project completion, both custom and commercial, in
wood and in other materials.
HOW IS BLOCCO SHIPPED?
BLOCCO is delivered on a pallet containing all
material and accessories needed for the specific
project, complete with assembly instructions.
WHAT SHOULD I DO WHEN THE GOODS HAVE BEEN DELIVERED?
BLOCCO is made of dried and cured wood, but it is
preferable to keep it in a dry place while it is
still on pallets. Once assembled, however, the blocks
may be subjected to small dimensional changes due to
climate conditions.
BLOCCO IS FIREPROOF?
BLOCCO is sold raw, so it is not fireproof. However,
you can request a fire retardant certificate for the
varnish (overcoat) on order. In this case, the
instructions for varnishing and a declaration will be
signed by the desired company.
Once the declaration is received, we will proceed
with the certificate.
