One in 250
people in the

(Inflammatory

Crohn’s and

main forms of
Inflammatory
Bowel Disease
(IBD)

IBD is very

16 to 29

www.crohnsandcolitis.org.uk
Crohn’s and Colitis, known as inflammatory
bowel diseases or IBD, can strike at any
age, but often are first diagnosed in the
young ie 16 – 29 age group.
There is no known cure for these conditions, and often their
symptoms can have a devastating impact on life, education
and work.

Patients may suffer for years in silence because of

embarrassment about their conditions and symptoms,
and sometimes feel very alone and isolated as a result,
particularly young adults.

If only they knew we’re here to help at the

end of the line.
