AACSB accreditation is the hallmark of excellence in business education, and has been
earned by less than five percent of the world's business schools. Today, there are 620
business schools in 38 countries that maintain AACSB accreditation. Similarly, 177
institutions maintain an additional specialized AACSB accreditation for their accounting Resources

AACSB Accredited Institutions
Achieving accreditation is a process of rigorous internal review, evaluation, and About Accreditation
adjustment and can take several years to complete. During these years, the school Accreditation Standards
develops and implements a plan to meet the AACSB accreditation standards, which Accreditation Process
require a high quality teaching environment, a commitment to continuous improvement,

standards, all accredited schools must go through a peer review process every five years
in order to maintain their accreditation.

executive vice president and chief accreditation officer of AACSB International. "Through accreditation, Universidad del
Turabo has not only met specific standards of excellence, but has also made a commitment to ongoing improvement to
ensure that the institution will continue to deliver high quality education to its students."
AACSB International also announced that the American University of Sharjah (United Arab Emirates), Melbourne
Business School (Australia), Rouen Business School (France), RWTH Aachen University (Germany), Shanghai Jiao
Tong University (China), Singapore Management University (Singapore), The University of Hull (United Kingdom),
University of Maryland Eastern Shore (United States), University of St. ThomasHouston (United States), Winona
State University (United States), Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster (Germany), and Xi’an Jiaotong
University (China) earned AACSB accreditation in business, and Singapore Management University (Singapore) and the
University of Louisiana at Lafayette (United States) earned AACSB accreditation in accounting. Additionally, 68
institutions have maintained their accreditation in business and 22 have maintained their accreditation in accounting.
