policy since the time of the Rashidun Caliph Umar bin Khattab, who upon re-
ceipt of reports of it being an inhospitable and poor land, had stopped further
expeditionary ventures into region.
Later historians, as described by Stanley Lane-Poole, in The Medieval India
(published in 1970 by Haskell House Publishers Ltd), noted that Qāsim was
“liberal”. He imposed the customary poll tax, took hostages for good conduct
and spared people’s lives and lands. He even left their shrines un-desecrated.
In the words of Qāsim, ‘The temples; he proclaimed, shall be inviolate, like
the perimeter of the Christians, the synagogues of the Jews and altars of the
Magians(the Persians who worshipped fire)’. Yet other accounts from Arabic
and Persians sources describe that he never left Arabia as there was a power
struggle between Umayyad and others and due to his close relationship with
Hajjaj, (a governor in Umayyad Caliphate) Bin Qāsim was executed after the
accession of Caliph Sulayman ibn Abd al-Malik. Only in India we believe that
this 18 year old kid travelled with considerable army while his uncle was in
power struggle, to sack Sindh and call Indians as Hindus as he cannot pro-
nounce ‘Sa’ and went back all the way to Arabia to get executed. We are not
denying the fact that Aditya Sun temple in Multan was destroyed and looted.
But the question is by whom and why?
Multan Sun Temple is part of 12 such massive temple complexes built as as-
tronomical observatories all around Kashmir. The time that took to destroy
Vijayanagara capital Hampi was only six months while, it is said that it took
over a year to destroy another such Sun temple in Anantnāg called Mārtānda
Sun temple complex, but, its base foundations are still intact even now. In the
same stretch, a massive temple complex which was built over a sprawling 25
square kilometers perimeter - the Lepākshi Temple complex was damaged by
British engineers in the name of scientific study. This temple had a marriage
hall built on four pillars and none of the pillars were touching the ground. It
was believed that this structure was built on magnetic di-pole principle. Post
independence, the entire temple complex was damaged by Indians themsel-
ves leaving a small structure, over a period of 66 years.
If we allow British trained Indian historians to write history, after 50 years
they will blame unborn Qāsims’ grandson/sons for the destruction of Lepākshi
and many other similar temple complexes. We are also presenting a glimpse
of the research that we did on Lepakshi temple site in this issue.
To put an end to these type of misconceptions Team GGI has initiated a pro-
ject under Veda Vāhini, a concept to link seekers to all possible knowledge
sources where the study of all such structures that held scientific secrets and
manifests the real concept of ‘Unity in Diversity’.
We pay our gratitude to all our well wishers and critiques for helping us find
the whole truth about ourselves. We request our readers to support our initia-
tives atleast by sharing our work with as many as possible, so that the whole
truth comes out not from the colored lenses of British but from the facts as

Information is the set of coded data, it can be stored, transported, manipulated and is
degradable. In the 3rd century BC, the Library of Alexandria was believed to house the
sum of human knowledge. The advent of the World Wide Web and other communication
technologies has significantly changed how we access information, the amount of infor-

the two great wars i.e. World War I and World War II the field of strategic information
warfare has evolved and knowing the adversary’s strategic locations, war planning,
deployment of forces, weapons capability etc became the main priority for the ‘strategic
information warfare’. Therefore protection of information became very crucial and it
became national security priority for most of the western, European countries.
