SCREW COMPRESSORS: NEW TERMINAL PLATES
FRASCOLD is introducing progressively on all screw compressors,
CX, NR/RTS and CTS series, a new shape of terminal plates.
Main features:
• Improved construction. The pre-mounted isolators, ensure
first the total dielectric isolation between the live parts
and second, maintain the minimum distance between live
terminals and between these and the plate.
• Enhanced security. The pre-mounted isolators allow
to eliminate the possibility a wrong tightening. The total
separation between live terminals and the moisture, which
accumulation on the plate may occur, will elimiate any
unwanted short circuits.
• Simplification of use. The installer will no longer manage
insulators. The material provided with the wiring kit, and
the optional “DOL connection bars” kit, allow to manage all
starting configurations such as DOL, SDS, PWS and Inverter.
• Replacement guaranteed. The new terminal plates are
interchangeable with the previous version. For the models
RTSL/NRL up to 300m3/h, RTSH/NRH up to 240m3/h and all
CTS models, the terminal lugs must be replaced from M10
to M12; If the application includes DOL connection bars, also
these must be replaced.
Two shapes of terminal plates are available:
• CX_0 (plate code T00W3051031), RTS, NR2, NR3, NR4 and
NR5 (plate code T00W2351031). The plate has one single
integrated insulator, four Faston connectors (T1 and T2 for
connection to the PTC’s protecion of the motor, T3 e T4 for
motors with special temperature probes), one M10 Male
earthing connection (fig.1).

• CX_5, CX_9 and NR6 series (code T00W3551031). This plate
has six separate-integrate insulators, split into two parts,
a lower part fix to the plate and a rotating part that allows
to adjust the direction of the cable. There are four Faston
connectors (T1 and T2 for connection to the PTC’s protecion
of the motor, T3 e T4 for motors with special temperature
probes), one M10 Male earthing connection (fig.2).

FRASCOLD sta progressivamente introducendo nuove piastre
terminali su tutti i compressori vite serie CX, NR/RTS e CTS.
Queste le migliorie e i benefici ottenuti:
• Costruzione migliorata. Gli isolatori preassemblati,
garantiscono il totale isolamento dielettrico tra le parti
sottotensione e il mantenimento della distanza minima sia tra
i terminali sotto tensione che tra questi e la piastra terminali.
• Sicurezza aumentata. Gli isolatori preassemblati eliminano
la possibilità di un errato serraggio durante la fase di cablaggio.
In questo modo si mantiene la totale separazione tra i terminali
sottotensione e la condensa che si può accumulare sulla
piastra, impedendo così indesiderati cortocircuiti.
• Utilizzo semplificato. L’installatore non dovrà più gestire gli
isolatori. Il materiale fornito per il cablaggio, e l’eventuale kit
Barrette DOL, permette di gestire le varie configurazioni di
avviamento: DOL, SDS, PWS e con Inverter.
• Sostituzione garantita. le nuove piastre terminali sono
intercambiabili con la versione precedente. Per i modelli
RTSL/NRL fino a 300m3/h, gli RTSH/NRH fino a 240m3/h e
tutti i CTS, sarà necessario sostituire gli occhielli da M10 a
M12; se l’applicazione richiede le barrette DOL, anche queste
vanno sostituite.
Le piastre terminali sono realizzate in due tipologie:
• CX_0 (cod. piastra T00W3051031), RTS, NR2, NR3, NR4 ed
NR5 (cod. piastra T00W2351031). La piastra ha un singolo
isolatore integrato, quattro connettori Faston (T1 e T2 per il
collegamento alle PTC di sicurezza del motore, T3 e T4 usati
per il collegamento di sonde di temperatura speciali), un
attacco maschio M10 per la messa a terra (fig.1).

• CX_5, CX_9 e NR6 (code T00W3551031). La piastra ha
sei isolatori separati ed integrati, ogni isolatore è diviso in
una parte fissa ed una parte orientabile per assecondare la
direzione del cavo. Sono presenti quattro connettori Faston
(T1 e T2 per il collegamento alle PTC di sicurezza del motore,
T3 e T4 usati per il collegamento di sonde di temperatura
speciali), un attacco maschio M10 per la messa a terra (fig.2).
