I am very pleased to welcome you to University College Ghent.

We are particularly proud to offer our 17,000 students a wide range of
subjects, going from the fine arts to engineering sciences, and from
music to biotechnology. Our goal is to link and interconnect this
impressive range of assets to create surplus value in the fields of
education, research, service provision and practice of the arts.

The realisation of an ambitious and stimulating internationalisation

policy is one of the priorities of University College Ghent for the coming
years. Integrating an international dimension in the study path of each
of our students is one of our focal challenges within our international

policy plan. To reach our goal we work closely together with numerous
European and non-European institutions, leading to increased
incoming and outgoing student and teacher mobility, joint curriculum
development and research. University College Ghent also wants to
share its expertise and knowledge worldwide and is actively involved in
initiatives and projects in developing countries. The offer of a broad set
of complementary Internationalisation@Home initiatives contributes
likewise to the international orientation of our institution.
We are situated in Flanders’ most popular student city Ghent, which
was chosen twice as ‘the most enjoyable city of Flanders’. Every year
Ghent attracts over 65,000 students, which effectively makes it the
higher education capital of Flanders.

This brochure offers a fresh perspective on University College Ghent

as it is today and its evolution since its establishment in 1995. I hope
you are inspired by this brochure and especially by what our university

 Today Ghent is the busy capital of the province
of East Flanders. It is a city with many faces:
not only does it boast over 65,000 students in
higher education, it is also a city where many
fairs and conferences are organised, an
industrial city with a harbour, a “flower city”
and a city in which many cultural events take
place. It is conveniently situated between
Brussels and Bruges, and cities such as Paris,
London and Amsterdam are within easy reach.
The climate is generally mild but often wet, so
don’t forget to bring your raincoat! It can be
both very hot (occasionally 30°C) and cool
(10°C) in summer. In winter, temperatures vary
between -5°C and 15°C.
There is an extensive public transport network
with buses and trams taking you to all areas of
the city and its surroundings.
Pubs and restaurants abound in Ghent (as in
the rest of Flanders!) giving you a choice from
6 fast food to exquisite cuisine. In 2008 the
National Geographic Traveller Magazine
nominated Ghent as one of the 3 most
authentic historical cities worldwide and in
2006 Ghent was declared the most enjoyable
city in Flanders!

THE EDUCATION SYSTEM OF
UNIVERSITY COLLEGES OR
HOGESCHOLEN
Flanders boasts 27 institutions of higher
education: 22 university colleges and 5
prominent universities.
Having regard to the provisions of the Decree
of October 2004 concerning Higher Education
Structures, university colleges now offer one
or more of the following degrees:
Professional B achelor ’ s degrees
These practice-oriented study programmes,
such as Office Management, Nursing and
Teacher Training, prepare the student directly
for specific professions in industry, education,
commerce, health care, etc. A professional
Bachelor’s programme consists of 180 ECTS
credits, which corresponds to a traditional
three-year curriculum.
Professional Bachelor’s degrees, moreover,
do not exclude access to subsequent degrees.
A number of professional Bachelors give
access to advanced Bachelor’s programmes
(min. 60 ECTS credits), and a limited number of
professional Bachelors may even grant access
to a Master programme on condition that a
bridging programme is undertaken first.
Academic B achelor ’ s degrees
These programmes prepare students directly
for a Master’s degree, but can also be validated
on the labour market. An academic Bachelor’s
degree consists of 180 ECTS credits, which
corresponds to a traditional three-year
curriculum.
An academic Bachelor’s degree grants direct
access to the corresponding Master’s
programme. In some cases, however, access is
conditional and the student will have to
undertake a preparatory programme first, i.e.
when the student does not have the right
Bachelor’s degree to be admitted to a specific
Master’s programme.
Students with an academic Bachelor’s degree
can also enrol for an advanced Bachelor’s
programme.

College Ghent
HISTORY
Established in 1995, University College Ghent
is the outcome of two successful mergers in
which fourteen institutions of higher
education were involved. Many of them had
been leaders in higher education for decades
or even longer (our Faculty of Fine Arts
celebrated its 250th anniversary in 2001) and
every single one of them puts in first-class
expertise. Our goal is to link, mix and
interconnect this formidable range of assets
to create surplus value in the fields of
education, applied research, services and
development of the arts.
DIVERSE IN MANY WAYS
With more than 17,000 students and 2,000 staff
members, we are without any doubt a very
important actor in the higher education field
in Flanders, in terms of budget, staff and
student population. This wealth of expertise
allows us to offer additional services and
opportunities, such as professional units for
communication, culture and
internationalisation. We are particularly proud
to have a very wide range of subjects on offer,
in fact almost everything from the fine arts to
engineering sciences and from music to
biotechnology, divided over 22 professional
Bachelor’s programmes, 14 academic
Bachelor’s programmes and 24 Master’s
programmes. We are currently the largest
Belgian university college housed in Belgium’s
largest student city (roughly 65,000 students),
Ghent, where one can also find the second
largest university in Belgium, Ghent University,
with about 33,500 students. Together, Ghent
University and University College Ghent make
up for 75% of all students in Ghent.
OUTSTANDING SERVICES
AND FACILITIES
University College Ghent has 13 faculties, an
impressive open learning centre, an 11 ha
research farm, a 20 ha site including a park for
agriculture and horticulture, a comprehensive
Social Services Unit, two student homes and a
unique sports centre.
University College Ghent was a pioneer in the
Bologna debate by releasing the first book on
the topic in Dutch, participates in research
projects with universities, organises
exhibitions, releases CDs and DVDs, and so on.
It goes without saying that we are fully
equipped to meet present-day teaching 11
standards: brand new computer rooms,
internet facilities, laboratories, film and sound
studios, a concert hall, greenhouses, auditoria,
libraries, a number of specially equipped
classrooms for the students from the Faculties
of Fine Arts and Music, etc. Individual learning
paths for top sportsmen and women,
specialised resource centres, free preparatory
summer courses, student counselling and
study-related services at faculty level are all
proof of our student-based policy.
 FLEXIBLE LEARNING PATHS Individual learning paths Students get

Credits University College Ghent applies the
European Credit Transfer System (ECTS). ECTS
is based on the convention that 60 ECTS
12 credits measure the workload of a full-time
student during one academic year, one ECTS
credit representing 25 to 30 hours of full-time
study. Each course unit represents at least 3
ECTS credits with a maximum of 12 course
units per 60 credits. A Bachelor’s programme
has a minimum of 180 ECTS credits, a Master’s
programme a minimum of 60 ECTS credits.
The student will obtain his or her degree after
having accumulated all the credits necessary
to acquire the competencies linked to the
qualification.
RESEARCH & SERVICES
The B ologna Declaration and the
academisation process Ever since the
Bologna Declaration (June 1999) and the start
of the academisation process, the need for
education embedded in a strong research
environment, both qualitative and
quantitative, has substantially increased.
The main aim of the academisation process,
which involves the cooperation between the
university colleges and the universities within
an association (see page 48), is to promote
scientific research in the renewed Master’s
programmes at the university colleges and to
make sure that research and education go
hand in hand in the study programmes on
offer. To that end, curricula and study
programmes have been adapted to meet the
generally accepted academic standards as set
by international accreditation and quality
assurance bodies. This process takes up a few
years, during which time the Dutch-Flemish
Accreditation Organisation will assess the
realisations and further plans of the university
colleges. By 2013 the academic study
programmes at the university colleges will
have to comply with the same requirements as
the study programmes at the universities.
Ne w challenges and strategies
Although University College Ghent already had
a strong research tradition in some areas and
boasted a number of research groups of
international excellence, the number of
researchers at University College Ghent has
been increasing ever since the Bologna
Declaration and the start of the academisation
process. Also in the faculties offering
professional Bachelor’s programmes research
is becoming more important. In these
research projects the researchers cooperate
closely with their socio-economic and cultural
networks.
An internal Research Fund was established in
order to ensure the quality of the research and
the efficient allocation of the internal financial
means for research. This fund guarantees a
coherent research policy independent of the
external funding granted to our researchers. A
Research Council, consisting of both active
researchers representing the different
faculties of University College Ghent and
representatives from the research council of
Ghent University, advises the institution's
management regarding the Research Fund’s
allocation, follows up the academisation
process, encourages research in the
professional Bachelor faculties, stimulates the
coherence of ongoing research, etc.
Research S taff and Budget At present,
nearly 450 researchers are actively involved in
more than 250 research projects, 100 of which
are Ph.D. projects, and undertake a
considerable amount of contract research for
third parties (often SMEs). In 2008, the total
budget spent on research amounted to about
13,000,000 EUR, which corresponds to about
10% of the total operating budget. The revenue
for services, on the other hand, amounted to
approximately 1,700,000 EUR.
Active Research Teams University

active in many different domains:

the agricultural and food industry: animal
production, bakery and grain technology,

- Music, Drama and Fine Arts:
Theoretical research and research within
the artistic praxis are balanced in different
strategic research clusters: the visual arts
(e.g. photography and documentary
animation), traditional and computer-
based sculptures with their overlapping
fields, the mixture of experimental settings
in drama and mixed media, … Moreover
building musical instruments within the
framework of an academic Master-level, is
unique in Europe.
- Social Work, Welfare Studies, Health Care
and Teacher Training:
Diverse research topics, including but not
limited to the health and independence of
the elderly, dietary habits and nutritional
therapy, accessibility of leisure activities for
the disabled, linguistic development and its
disorders, assistance to specific population
groups with a focus on the disabled,
detainees, siblings of disabled children and
ethnic minorities.

INTERNATIONAL POLICY
University College Ghent strives to excel in
education, research, service provision and
practice of the arts. Through the expertise of
its staff and graduates and the valorization of
its research, University College Ghent is
making a valuable contribution to a critical,
creative and open society.
The internationalisation policy of University
College Ghent wants to contribute to the
realisation of the above mission of our
institution. Our policy is directed towards
acquiring, transferring and valorising new
knowledge, skills and competencies, both for
our students and staff. Our central
International Relations Division (see page 20)
operates as a coordinating unit and stimulates,
informs, counsels and supports University
College Ghent in its endeavours to shape this
objective.
A net work of solid international
partnerships We opt for the further
development of a structural cooperation and
network with privileged European and
worldwide higher education institutions and
organisations in order to keep up with the
ongoing international evolutions and to answer
the challenges of the present multicultural
society.
In addition to our institution’s membership of
several institutional networks, each Faculty of
University College Ghent currently has
cooperation agreements with a number of
partner institutions, amounting to almost 300
bilateral agreements with institutions from 30
different European countries and about 30
bilateral agreements with institutions and
organisations outside of Europe. All our
exchange agreements can be consulted both
internally and externally through the web-

It goes without saying that this extended
network of partners offers plenty of
opportunities for student and staff mobility.
On a yearly base more than 400 of our students
participate in international exchange
programmes and we welcome about 200
incoming exchange students at our institution.
Every year our staff undertakes about 450
international trips to broaden its international
expertise via participation in international
conferences, projects, teaching assignments
and so on.
Strengthening the participation of University
College Ghent in national (e.g. University
Cooperation for Development), European (e.g.
Lifelong Learning Programme, TEMPUS,
Interreg) and international programmes in the
coming years is essential to achieve dynamic,
innovative and interactive international
partnerships. The International Relations
Division developed, as an important support 19
tool, a web-based and up-to-date grant guide,
which helps our staff to explore relevant
funding programmes.
Internationally oriented students By
2013 University College Ghent wants to
integrate an international dimension in the
study path of each of our students, which
definitely is an asset of high value in their
future personal and professional integration in
a diverse and globalising society. This ambition
will be achieved through various actions:
- increased study opportunities at our
European and non-European partner
institutions
- a growing offer of international internships
in European and non-European companies,
in NGO’s and institutions in developing
countries
- the internationalisation of curricula by
developing English taught (semester)
programmes in each faculty in order to
facilitate interaction between Flemish and
foreign incoming students
- offering a diverse set of
Internationalisation@Home experiences
and project based activities.
This clear international orientation of
University College Ghent is highlighted even
more by our participation in Ghent University
Association, which creates opportunities for a
stronger international profile by joint
cooperation in fields such as international PR
actions and international projects.
 INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS

The international relations at University
College Ghent are organised at central and at
faculty level. The central International
Relations Division closely cooperates with the
International Relations Coordinators in each of
the 13 faculties of University College Ghent.

INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS
COORDINATORS AT
FACULTY LEVEL
The International Relations Coordinators at
faculty level are responsible for:
• Outlining the international policy of their
faculty
• Coordinating different exchange
programmes (student and teacher mobility)
within their faculty
• Developing cooperation initiatives with
other partners, both inside and outside
Europe.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
You can only study as an exchange student at
University College Ghent if your home
institution has a formal bilateral agreement
with our institution. This exchange can be part
of one of the European educational
programmes, such as Erasmus, TEMPUS,
EU/Canada and others. As an exchange student
you are entitled to a specific statute: as
opposed to regular students (see page 22), you
remain enrolled at your home institution and
you spend only a few months to a full academic
year at University College Ghent, free of
charge.
As an exchange student, you need to apply for
admission by completing the online
application form. You will be asked to attach a
number of additional documents such as the
learning agreement, the ECTS transcript of
record and an insurance document. Once
again, you can only access this online tool if
your home institution has a bilateral
agreement with University College Ghent.

If you plan to study at University College Ghent,
you will need a certain knowledge of Dutch in
order to fully immerse yourself in student life.
An active social life is as much part of the
student experience as studying and a great
way to meet other people and to explore the
marvellous city of Ghent. Therefore University
College Ghent offers an elementary course of
Dutch (80 hours) for exchange students,
focusing on practical speaking and listening
skills and offering an introduction to Flemish
culture and social life. The course can be
followed either before the start of the
semester or during the semester.
Registration for this course goes together with
the online registration process for exchange 21
students at University College Ghent. Students
who attend the course regularly and pass the
test at the end are entitled to 5 ECTS credits
and receive an official certificate Dutch for
Foreigners-level 1.
REGISTRATION FEES
As an incoming exchange student you do not
have to pay any fees for registration or tuition
at the host institution. You only pay the
registration fees to your home institution.
However, you should take into account that
small fees may be charged for other costs,
such as insurance, Student Union
membership, the use of photocopiers, etc.,
which are charged to the local students as
well. It is, therefore, of vital importance to
make an estimate of your budget at a very early
stage.

FOREIGN STUDENTS
REGISTRAR
The Foreign Students Registrar allows
international degree students to apply and
enrol as regular student on the basis of their
diploma(s) obtained abroad. Enrolling as a
regular student entails that you pay the
registration fee to the foreign institution and
not to the home institution as exchange
students do (see page 21). International degree
students, moreover, attend an entire study
programme abroad and receive their diploma
in the country they visit. In other words,
international degree students are enrolled at

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
B achelor ’ s degrees In order to be
admitted to the first year of the Bachelor’s
programmes, the foreign candidate holding a
foreign diploma must either possess:
• An official proof of (level) equivalence with a
Flemish high school or university diploma/
certificate obtained via the Flemish
Ministry of Education in Brussels;
• A certificate obtained via the Ministry of
Education in the country of origin following
Convention 15 of the Council of Europe, i.e.
a foreign certificate granting access to
university education in that country.
Signatories of this Convention are: Austria,
Belgium, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia,
Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland,
France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland,
Israel, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania,
Luxemburg, Macedonia, Malta, Moldova, the
Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland,

• A European “Baccalauréat Diploma” issued
by the European Schools in Belgium or
abroad,
• A “Diplôme du Baccalauréat International”,
issued by the “Office du Baccalauréat
International” in Geneva;
• Germany: “Zeugnis der Allgemeinen
Hochschulreife/Abitur”;
• USA: “High School diploma” with a
transcript of records of at least 4 APs;
• China: a certificate of academic screening
issued by the Academic Evaluation Centre

Students who have a certificate granting
access to university education in their country
of origin may be granted admission, following
the “Convention of the Council of Europe on
the equivalence of diplomas leading to
admission to universities” (1953).
Master ’ s degrees In order to be admitted
to a Master’s degree, students must either
have successfully completed an academic
Bachelor’s degree in Flanders, or the
certificate or diploma of their country of origin
has to be declared equivalent to an academic
Bachelor’s degree at University College Ghent.

Advanced programmes Holders of a
Bachelor’s degree may enrol for an advanced
Bachelor’s degree, and holders of a Master’s
degree may enrol for an advanced Master’s
degree. In both cases, however, enrolment is
subject to the study programme or course-
related requirements.
Additional admission requirements
In order to be admitted to the Music, Drama,
Audio-Visual and Fine Arts programmes,
students have to take an artistic entrance
exam.
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
All regular programmes offered at University
College Ghent are in Dutch (except for the
Master of Music, Master of Audiovisual Arts
and Master of Visual Arts, see page 29 to 30).
Consequently, regular students must have
thorough knowledge of Dutch before
commencing their studies, which they have to
prove by submitting:
• proof that they have successfully studied
for at least one academic year at a Dutch
speaking high school or university (60
credits);
• a C1-level certificate “Effectiveness in the
Common European Framework” for the
study programmes Translation, Interpreting
and Multilingual Communication or a
B2-level certificate “Vantage in the Common
European framework” for other study
programmes offered at University College
Ghent;
• Exception: in order to enrol in the
Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes of the
Faculty of Music and of the Faculty of Fine
Arts (except for the Bachelor of Interior
Design), students have to pass the entrance
exams where the language level will be
evaluated.
As a non-native speaker of Dutch, you are
allowed to stay in Belgium during 1 academic
year to learn the language. This is considered a
preparatory year before starting your actual
studies. However, you first (!) have to go 23
through the complete admission procedure
and prove that you meet all the requirements
mentioned above.

SEMESTER PROGRAMMES
The language of instruction in the following
international programmes is English. A high
level of competency in English is expected to
successfully participate in the programmes.
The programmes are particularly organised
for foreign exchange students, but regular
students can enrol as well, when they fulfil all
admission requirements. All course units have
been allocated a minimum of 3 ECTS credits.
Students can undertake these programmes to
obtain ECTS credits. Please note that the
programmes below do NOT lead to a diploma.
International programme for
Business S tudies This international study
42 programme is organised at the Faculty of
Applied Business [see page 33]. Every year this
international study programme is offered in
two semester modules, with a total of 60 ECTS
credits. Besides 2 compulsory courses (i.e.
Belgian Culture Studies and Cross Cultural
Communication), there is a wide range of
optional courses related to management, law,
IT and languages. Courses are English taught,
with the exception of the (foreign) language
classes.

International Management
programme The International Management
Programme (IMP) is organised by the Faculty of
Business Administration and Public
Administration [see page 34]. IMP is a set of
management courses in English, established
to meet the increasing trends of globalisation
on management items. It therefore provides
students with a comprehensive education in
the fields of Business Administration,
Economics, Political Science, Public
Administration, Management, Marketing,
Finance, ICT and Law. The programme is meant
for advanced undergraduate/bachelor and
master students and offers courses at
bachelor and master level.
The IMP is offered in both semesters. Students
can choose to come for one semester or they
can stay for a whole academic year. They need
to take at least 21 ECTS. Students having
completed a full semester programme of
30 ECTS will receive a Certificate of the
International Management Programme.

Business, L anguages and IT Services
programme (BLIT S) The Faculty of Business
Information and ICT [see page 32] offers the
International BLITS Study Programme yearly in
two semester modules. It covers subjects such
as languages (English, French, German and
Spanish), ICT Management, Knowledge
Systems, XML and programming in a network
environment. Courses are English taught, with
the exception of the foreign language classes.

International programme Education
– Welfare – Health Care The Faculty of
Teacher Training, the Faculty of Social Work
and Welfare Studies and the Faculty of Health
Care jointly organise the International
Programme Education-Welfare-Health Care
(see page 39 to 41). This programme is offered
in two semester modules and aims at offering
higher education from an international,
intercultural, interdisciplinary and innovative
point of view. Participation in this curriculum
will turn out to be an exciting learning
experience and a challenge for further
professional and personal development.
The programme covers subjects such as
special education, issues on social welfare,
contemporary education systems, ICT, working
in an intercultural context, prevention, social
philosophy and ethics, psychology and first
aid. Each of the individual course units has
3 ECTS credits.

FULL-TIME STUDY
PROGRAMMES
The following programmes are full-time study
programmes of either 60 ECTS credits (1 year)
or 120 ECTS credits (2 years). They are
organised particularly for regular foreign
students. Foreign exchange students can,
however, also select individual course units
from these programmes. The following
programmes either lead to a certificate, as is
the case with the international postgraduate
programmes Dutch & Translation and
Computer Systems Validation, or to a Master’s
degree, as is the case with the Master of Music,
the Master of Fine Arts and the Master of
Audiovisual Arts.

International postgraduate
programme Dutch & Translation
The Faculty of Translation Studies [see page 35]
offers the International Postgraduate
Programme Dutch & Translation, which is a
one-year academic programme (60 ECTS
credits) offering foreign students the
possibility to study Dutch as a foreign language
in a very intensive way and at a high level. No
previous knowledge of Dutch is required. At
the same time, the programme gives students
a solid introduction to translation and the use
of translation tools. On successful completion
of the programme, students will be awarded
the International Postgraduate Certificate in
Dutch & Translation.
The study programme consists of three main
parts:
• Dutch courses: 27 ECTS credits,
compulsory, taught in Dutch
• Core courses: 18 ECTS credits, compulsory,
taught in English
• Electives: 15 ECTS credits, language of
instruction depends on the subjects
chosen
The International Postgraduate Programme
Dutch & Translation aims at students holding a
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in languages.
The programme is unique in the Dutch-
speaking area.

 Master of Music The Faculty of Music (see
page 29) offers the Master of Music entirely in
English. It aims at students holding a
Bachelor’s degree of Music or an equivalent
diploma. The Master of Music is a two-year
programme that consists of 120 ECTS credits.
Students can choose between two main
subjects: Performing Music (two paths:
Classical Music and Jazz/Popular Music) or
Composing Music ( two paths: Composition
and Music Production).

Master of Fine Arts and Master of
Audiovisual Arts The Faculty of Fine Arts
44 (see page 30) offers 2 Master’s programmes in
English:

Both Master’s programmes offer bachelor
students in Fine Arts and Audiovisual Arts a
chance to grow as artists or designers. Both
programmes consist of 60 ECTS credits and
are divided into four segments: the master’s
project, a thesis, theoretical seminars and
elective courses.
Giving your artistic process further direction
and substance is central. Students who have
completed the three-year bachelor's
programme are invited to complete their own
master’s project. The substance of this artistic
master's project is embedded in a framework
of extensive possibilities for reflection,
research and consultation. In the master’s
programme, the opportunity to make artistic
choices within a solid supporting framework is
strongly emphasized.

P ostgraduate C omputer Systems
Validation Computer Systems Validation
(CSV) is a postgraduate course organised by
the Faculty of Business Information [see
page 32], in cooperation with the Escola
Universitaria Politécnica de Mataró (Spain) and
Segalstad Consulting (Norway). This unique
study programme is designed for graduated
students and active professionals, interested
in becoming a successful IT-validation
specialist. In the course of two semesters the
programme offers 10 different packages (50
ECTS credits in total), such as Information
Systems, Basic Quality Management Systems,
Project Management, IT-Framework and
Communication. The modules are available in
the form of e-learning guidance and distance
learning assistance, allowing you to study at
your own pace. It is possible to enrol for
individual modules. Each completed module
will lead to a certificate. If you complete the
full course, you will be granted a postgraduate
certificate.

WHAT ARE “ASSOCIATIONS”?
Associations are the result of several changes
in higher education in Flanders. The decrees
concerning universities (1991) and university
colleges or hogescholen (1994) shifted more
autonomy and responsibility to the
institutions, introduced new concepts such as
quality assessment and assigned new missions
to the university colleges.
After signing the Bologna Declaration in 1999,
the Flemish Minister for Education started a
process to reform the Flemish higher
education system. On 4 April 2003, the Flemish
Parliament adopted the Decree concerning the
restructuring of higher education in Flanders
48 (the Bachelor/Master structure). One result of
this transformation process is the official
cooperation between a university and one or
more university colleges in what is called an
“association”. Ghent University Association is
one of the five Flemish associations and
encloses four institutions (see below).

AIMS AND MISSION
The main aim of an association is to improve
the cooperation between its members.
Education and research are the key points of
interest, but a fair amount of attention and
effort goes to fields such as quality assurance,
accreditation of prior learning, student
facilities, internationalisation and
infrastructure as well.
The partners of “Ghent University Association”
combine forces with respect to education,
research (including the development of the
Arts), services, infrastructure and student-
related facilities. The main areas of mutual
interest and close collaboration are:
• Streamlining opportunities in education
• Facilitating learning paths between its
members
• Student and teacher mobility
• Joining staff, expertise and funds in
common fields of research and services
• Quality assessment
• Common student-related facilities
(housing, catering, student counselling,
etc.)
