Help Keep Minneapolis Parks Clean
April 22nd is Earth Day and the City of Minneapolis needs your help!
The goal of Earth Day is to provide both a volunteer experience and
environmental education to Minneapolis residents and park users.
This annual event involves cleaning major watersheds and water bod-
ies in the City of Minneapolis.
It’s easy to get involved. No pre-registration is required! Arrive at any
site between 9:30—noon on Saturday, April 16th and check-in with a
volunteer.

Job Search Tip….
A great way to leave a good impression after an interview is to send the in-
terviewer a thank-you note. Make sure to:
Thank them again for their time.
Repeat why you want the position.
Mention something you learned from them in the interview and let them
know you are still interested.
The note does not have to be a novel—a few sentences are fine. Be sure you
have their correct contact information after the interview by getting their
Business card before you leave.
Financial Tip….
Sick of telemarketing calls interrupting your dinner? Tell them DO
NOT CALL!
The Federal government implemented the National Do Not Call Registry in
2003 in an effort to put consumers in charge of the telemarketing calls they
receive. You can register both home and cell phone numbers two ways:
online www.donotcall.gov
OR
by calling 1-888-382-1222 from the number you wish to register
Placing your number on the registry is free and will stop most, but not all,
telemarketing calls. Exercise your rights and take control!
