• Review  ABF  purposes  (Pastor  Levy):  
o Biblical:  ABFs  are  to  teach  through  the  Scriptures  in  a  
systematic  manner.    Our  Biblical  objective  is  to  teach  God’s  
Word  for  understanding  and  application  (Eph  4:11-­‐16;  2  Tim  
3:14-­‐17;  Jas  1:22).  
o Ministry:  ABFs  are  led  by  their  own  leadership  team.    Our  
ministry  objective  is  to  develop  each  class  member’s  skills  and  
gifts  and  to  prepare  leaders    (Rom  12:6-­‐8;  1  Cor  12:27-­‐30;  1  
Peter  4:7-­‐11).  
o Growth:  ABFs  are  to  help  individuals  and  classes  to  mature  in  
Christ.    Our  growth  objective  is  to  encourage  and  stimulate  
spiritual,  numerical  and  ministry  growth  (Col  2:6-­‐7;  1  Peter  
2:2).  
o Outreach:  ABFs  are  to  nurture  a  mindset  for  integration  and  
discipleship.    Our  outreach  objective  is  to  invite  and  welcome  
non  attendees  (Mt  28:19-­‐20;  1  Thess  2:1-­‐12).  
o Community:  ABFs  are  midsize  groups  that  develop  a  spirit  of  
togetherness.    Our  community  objective  is  to  develop  
relationships  for  life  (Acts  2:42-­‐47;  Heb  10:24-­‐25).
