The LORD said to Moses, 'Come up to me
on the mountain, and wait there; and I
will give you the tablets of stone, with the
law and the commandment, which I have
w ritten for their instruction,' So Moses set
out with his assistant Joshua, and Moses
went up into the mountain of God. To the
elders he had said, 'Wait here for us, until
we come to you again; for Aaron and Hur
are w ith you; whoever has a dispute may
go to them.' Then Moses went lip on the
moun ta in, and the cloud covered the
mo unta in. The glory of the LORD settled
on Mou nt Sinai, and the clo ud cove red it
for six days; on the seventh day he called

Israel. Moses entered the cloud, and went

Lenten Lunches:
This year these simple lunches of soup and bread and
cheese will be held on Tuesdays at 12 noon at 8t ,John the
Esaptist's Church, starting 15 March and throughout Lent
They are free but charitable donations are aPPI"eciated.
Grants for Local Organisations:
As part of St George's giving we would like to help projects
and people within the Kemp Town area. We are therefore
looking to make a small number of grants to organisations
within the parish or to groups which help people within the
parish. As last year, St Anne's Charity, have agreed to match
our funding. If you know of anyone who might be eligible, do
take an application form which can be found at the back of the
church.
The closing date is Tuesday 5'" April and the cheques will be
presented at the morning service on 1sl May, when we
celebrate St George's Day.

Daz Hillyer has very bravely volunteered to roll down Devils
