Regole per formare il past simple

Per formare il past simple in inglese dobbiamo:

- Aggiungere -ed alla forma base del verbo se quest’ultimo è regolare

(ad esempio call al passato diventa called)
- Se invece il verbo è irregolare dobbiamo cercare sulla tabella la forma del simple past, che non
seguirà la regola precedente
(ad esempio eat al passato diventa ate)

I verbi essere (to be) e avere (to have) sono irregolari.
