What’s Brewing in NJ

Microbreweries produce small batches

of beer for sale to wholesalers and
retailers both inside and outside New
Jersey. That means you can purchase
New Jersey micro-brewed beer from the
shelves of liquor stores and in pubs
around the country. Call the brewery for
a list of retailers who carry your favorite
micro-brewed beers.

Brewpubs are restaurants that produce

small batches of craft brewed beer on-
site and may sell their own beer by the
glass for consumption on premise. They
may also sell their beer for carry out in
bottles, jugs known as “growlers” and in
kegs. Brewpub beer is not available
outside the restaurant.

About the Guild

The Garden State Craft Brewers Guild

is an association of the restricted and
limited license holders in New Jersey.
Our goal is to promote the craft brewing
industry in New Jersey by means of
education, promotion of special events
and other social, civic and economic
initiatives.

New Jersey’s first and only brewpub with two locations,

Basil T’s is an elegant full-service restaurant serving
authentic gourmet Italian specialties as well as Pizza
Vera Napolitana and burgers. There are always at
least six hand-crafted ales on tap, and both locations
include a members-only cigar lounge. The bar features
New Jersey’s largest mug club, happy hour, and live
music on Wednesday through Saturday evenings.

Blue Collar is southern New Jersey’s newest

microbrewery having opened in October 1999. B.C.B.
produces five ales and three seasonal lagers in both
American and German styles. Recently B.C.B. began
bottling their brews in quarts and pints, which are
available in area liquor stores and fine restaurants.

Flying Fish is the first microbrewery in the southern

half of New Jersey and the most widely produced craft
beer in the state. We specialize in classic English and
Belgian styles and currently produce five bottled
products: ESB Ale, Extra Pale Ale, Porter, Belgian
Abbey Dubbel and Farmhouse Summer Ale. In
addition we brew a variety of draft- only seasonals and
cask-conditioned “real ales.” Gold medal winner at

This is Essex County’s first brewpub. We offer a
