Lateral Entry Test (LET) for B.Tech Programme 2011

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES

All candidates are directed to strictly follow the instructions given below as well as those in the Question Booklets and
the Answer sheets supplied to them at the time of the test.
1) Permission to take LET is purely provisional and is subject to satisfactory verification of valid proof of eligibility
conditions prescribed in the notification and availability of vacancies in the respective branches.
2) Candidates are advised to be present in the examination hall 20 minutes prior to the commencement of the test.
Answer Sheets will be supplied to candidates 5 minutes before the commencement of the test for enabling them to fill
in the Roll Number and other details.
3) Candidates must carry two copies of downloaded eAdmit Cards to the examination hall and produce them for
verification at each test. After verification one copy of the eAdmit Card will be returned to the candidate.
4) Candidates without eAdmit Cards will not be allowed to attend the test.
5) Candidates should bring a ball pen, HB pencil and an eraser with them to the examination hall.
6) Candidates found copying or resorting to any unfair means and violating any conditions of test are liable to be
disqualified from the test
7) Questions are of objective type, with four different possible answers marked A to D. Candidates have to mark the
most appropriate answer in the manner instructed on the facing page of the Answer Sheet. Mark only one answer to
each question. For unattempted questions, put a cross mark in the starred column with Ball Pen as shown in the
example. Candidates are also required to furnish the total tally of questions attempted by them in the box
provided at the end of the Answer Sheet.
8) The Answer Sheets should be returned to the Invigilator before leaving the examination hall. The Question
Booklet can be retained by the candidate.
9) Candidates will not be allowed to take the examination if they arrive after the expiry of 20 minutes from the
commencement of the test. Candidates will not be allowed to leave the examination hall before the expiry of 60
minutes from the commencement of the test.

10) Candidates will not be permitted to bring Logarithmic or Scientific Table /Calculator/Pager/ Mobile Phone/ Watch
with Calculator / Pen Scanner, any reprographic or image / data recording devices etc. to the examination hall.

11) Refreshments/smoking is not permitted inside the examination hall.

12) If a candidate has any complaint /suggestion regarding the question paper or arrangements, he/she may give it in
writing to the Chief Superintendent of the centre.
13) Write down your roll number in the appropriate box. University will not be responsible for any wrong entry made by
the candidate in the Answer Sheet.
