The duo is equally adept at evocative instrumental music. They have produced a series
of 6 full-length instrumental recordings collectively titled Tapestry, and have provided
soundtracks for several award-winning videos. Together, they composed a suite for quin-
tet of folk instruments inspired by a tour of the Scottish island of Skye called The Skye Suite.
Subsequently, the Dumfries & Galloway Arts Association commissioned them to compose
a similar piece for that region. Sang o‚ the Solway was performed in Scotland several times
in 2000, 2001, and 2002, culminating with a performance at the prestigious Celtic Connec-

commemorating the 1740 shipwreck of Scots-Irish immigrants in northern Maine called Grand
Design which has played in Canada, New England and South Carolina. Find informtion

Opening the show is Craig Bickhart. Ray Charles, B.B. King, Johnny Cash, The Judds,
Martina McBride, Trisha Yearwood, Allison Krauss, Anne Murray, Art Garfunkel, Poco and
Vince Gill are just a few of the many luminaries who have dipped into Craig Bickhardt’s
well of songs. But the covers are only part of the story. His first break as an artist came
when asked to write and sing the closing theme for Robert Duvall’s Academy Award win-

ed up with fellow songwriters Thom Schuyler, Fed Knobloch and Don Schlitz to establish
The Writers in the Round. Their laidback “living room” style of performing at the Bluebird
Café became the hottest ticket in town. Bickhardt’s performing style has often been called
“soulful rock.” He credits his Philadelphia roots for the influence. Learn more about Craig
