Industrial relations is a multidisciplinary field that studies the employment relationship Industrial
relations is increasingly being called employment relations because of the importance of non-industrial
employment relationships. The relationship between Employer and employee or trade unions is
called Industrial Relation. Harmonious relationship is necessary for both employers and
employees to safeguard the interests of the both the parties of the production.
Industrial Relation do not emerge in vacuum they are born of employment relationship in
an industrial setting. Without the existence of the two parties, i.e. labor and management, this
relationship cannot exist. It is the industry, which provides the environment for industrial
relations. Personnel management is mainly concerned with the human relation in industry
because the main theme of personnel management is to get the work done by the human power
and it fails in its objectives if good industrial relation is maintained. In other words good
Industrial Relation means industrial peace which is necessary for better and higher productions.
Objectives:
1. To study the relationship between the trade union and management.
2. To see what role plays the industrial relation in safeguard the industrial
relation.
Scope:
1. It helps to know that how industrial relation works in the organization to
maintain the relation between the workers and management.
Research methodology:
• Hypothesis:
a) Satisfaction directly affects the industrial relation in an
organization.
• Data collection:
a) Primary: Structured interview, questionnaire
b) Secondary: Books,Journals,Newspaper,Net
• Research Designs:
Conceptive analysis of industrial relation in Mahindra and Mahindra is descriptive
study.
Limitation:
a) This study related to Mahindra and Mahindra limited Nagpur.
