But my parents taught us to live by the Golden Rule

Ephesians 5:15-21 (NASB)

Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise men

16making the most of your time, because the days are

evil.
 17So then do not be foolish, but understand what the
will of the Lord is.
 18And do not get drunk with wine, for that is
dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit,
 19speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and
spiritual songs,

singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord;
 always giving thanks for all things in the name of our

Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the

 For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also

is the head of the church, He Himself being the Savior

of the body.
 But as the church is subject to Christ, so also the

 knowing that whatever good thing each one does, this

threatening, knowing that both their Master and yours
is in heaven, and there is no partiality with Him.

Represents BUSINESS...the MARKETPLACE
Master=Owner, an EMPLOYER
Slave = worker or EMPLOYEE

2003 - Servant Leadership, incl. CEA

Lay up treasures in Heaven
Serve my Wife and Family
to SERVE OTHERS
Become God’s Obedient SLAVE

interrelated?
1) God
2) Your Spouse

Entire Spectrum is the Ministry
Outside of Sunday church, God never intended our lives

to be compartmentalized
Everything is integrated
Family, Community, and Your Work
All is done to the Glory of God

(Aside) Why did God give you
WORK?
It was supposed to be a Blessing-Gen 2
It is a Platform to represent CHRIST

God did not give us WORK to
increase our standard of living,
nor get rich (on Earth)

Do you Live Your Life for the
Temporal?
Then your spirit becomes Secular

But if your Life is focused on the
Eternal?
Seek First God’s Kingdom and His Righteousness
Live your life in SERVING OTHERS
The Secular becomes SPIRITUAL

Ifyou take any of these priorities out of sequence, you
will have problems (two examples)
God’s Priorities are progressive
If your relationship with God is strong, then your

relationship with your spouse will be stronger...and so
on (spouse to children and then Family to Business)
