Psychology is the scientific study of human thought and
behavior. It helps answer questions such as: How do we
change and develop as we grow older? Is our behavior
influenced by our genes, our environment or both? How
do our brains work? How are mental health problems
diagnosed and treated? Psychology has close links with
other areas such as education, human resources, medi-
cine, brain research, computer modeling, counseling,
health and the arts. Psychology, in combination with
BS Psychology other disciplines, provides a body of knowledge that
crosses disciplines and excellent training in research

The field of Medical Laboratory Technology is of vital im-
portance as it is the backbone of all the Medical Scienc-
es. It is a professional education without which a proper
Lab diagnosis is beyond the scope of imagination.
Together with the efforts of clinicians, doctors and allied
therapists it saves time and maintains accuracy for the
protection of the ailing persons and minimizes the haz-
ards of time-consumption for fast and proper treatment
of untreated patients in view of its lab diagnosis.

M.Sc Medical Ultrasound
Ultrasound is an important diagnostic tool having immense
clinical relevance and importance. An ultrasound report
should be issued by a qualified professional, due to lack of
proper legislation, there has been a lot of misuse of this
imaging modality.
A major rationale behind this course is to offer high qual-
ity ultrasound education and training of international
standards and to prepare doctors for a challenging career
in Pakistan as well as in foreign countries. The ultra sound
training in this country requires revolutionary changes and
new trends need to be set.
