و ِאرכ َو‬ “Know that the best of remembrances is”: There is no God (worthy of

ُ َ ْ َ ْ َ َ َ ْ worship) but Allah.(10 times) Muhammad a is the Messenger of Allah

ِ ‫ @? ﱠ‬¹bُ F‫ כ א‬tِ ‫ ٰœ َ€ ِٔאכ‬9َ‫ َو‬، Åَ 76ْ Šb © › !ْ bُ F‫َوא‬ (in all certainty). We live and die by it, and hope to be resurrected
by it tomorrow, Allah willing.

You are the Owner of Glory; we do not worship You in the manner O Allah, whelm benedictions, peace and blessings upon our liege ‫ّ  ِ  َא‬6ِ - œٰ 9َ ‫ َ َ
و ِאرכ‬Øbْ Š© › ‫ َو‬jِ ¼ ^t‫ א‹Š ُˆ‡ ﱠ‬،Åَ 76ْ b‫©و‬F ‫א ﱠ‬1‫א‬
You deserve to be worshipped! You are the Owner of Glory; we do Muhammad, his family, all Prophets and Messengers, Your close
ْ ّ ّ ‫َﱣ‬ ْٰ ُ
not know You in the manner You deserve to be known! You are
the Owner of Glory; we do not invoke You in the manner You
Angels, worshipful servants, and the righteous. Have mercy on us
and on them, by Your Absolute Mercy, O quintessence of mercy. œٰ 9َ ‫ َ َ

deserve to be invoked! You are the Owner of Glory; we do not

Him whose High Status is best known to Himself and whose Noble

‫ ُد ٗه‬BLْ zُ ٔ hَ6 ‫א‬1‫…ص َو‬8 ‫א ْر‬1‫ة َوא‬BLِ ٰ ¹ ٰ ³b F‫ﱡ  ُ >א‬6 -ِ !ْ ‫כ‬ ِ
ِ َْ ْ ْ
I seek forgiveness from Allah the incomparably Great,(3 times) the َ
‫ ِل‬BLْ -. ‫ َر‬ú‫وא ِح‬üْ ‫ ِאر» َوא‬± J ‫א‬1‫ َو א‬2َ ~!ْ6 ِ Ž‫ َ‡ ِ
א‬ùbُ F‫ َوא‬،‫ אس‬ ‫َ َْ ﱠ‬
most Generous, the Eternal; there is no god worthy of worship
except Him, the Ever-Living, the Self-Subsisting—from all wrongs

.µtُ Q6ْ STR ِ 8 #tَ F‫ﱡœא‬6 "© #tَ F‫א‬qLَ Mُ ‫ َאۚ َو‬Êُ áâ8 ?ã ِ ِ "

and sins. I turn to Him in repentance and I beseech Him to accept
my repentance.
Allah—there is no god but He, the Living, the Everlasting; slumber seizes ‫ ِل‬BLْ -. ‫ َر‬uِ ‫ر‬6‫ َوذ ِّ ﱠ‬،‫ ﷺ‬VWX ِ ‫ ِل א‬BLْ -. ‫ َر‬x‫ א‬ ِ ‫א‬
Him not, neither sleep; to Him belongs all that is in the heavens and the
ّ ‫َﱣ‬ 
3. Statement of Peace
َ َ َ َ َ َ ‫َﱣ‬
earth. Who is there that shall intercede with Him save by His leave? He
knows what lies before them and what is after them, and they jِ ¼ ^t‫ א ˆ‹Š ُ‡ ﱠ‬.‫ ﷺ‬VWX ِ ‫ ِل א‬BLْ -. ‫ َر‬uِ 
َ ‫ َא‬ý ÔÒ‫ َ َ
و ©א‬،‫ ﷺ‬VWX ِ ‫א‬
|tُ 
ِ !ْ ~6َ ‫ כ‬bْ6 F‫ َ ِوא‬،‫‚€ ِאم‬b F‫ כ א‬$ْ ‫ِو‬% َ ،ƒ‫‚€ ُא‬b F‫ א‬g… hْ ‫^ א‬t‫א‹Š ُˆ‡ ﱠ‬ comprehend not anything of His knowledge save as He wills. His Throne
َ ُ ٰÈ ْ َ
َ ْ َ َ َ
comprises the heavens and earth; the preserving of them oppresses Him
not; He is the All-High, the All-Glorious.

‫אل‬ َ َ ¡]] VWX‫ َ َאنא‬ O Allah, whelm benedictions, peace and blessings upon our liege

ُ Muhammad, who is the liege of the first, the last, and the God
.‫כ َ! ِאم‬ ِ .‫^ َد ِ ٔא_ ًאא َ
 ًא‬tِ Q6ْ STR ِ 8 #tَ F‫ّœא‬6ِ "© #tَ F‫א‬VWXِ ‫ َ َאنא‬ conscious. May Allah reward our liege Muhammad on our behalf
with what befits him. O Allah, be well pleased with our masters
O Allah, You are as-salām—the Source of Peace, the Flawless, the Glory be to Allah.(33 times) Glory be to Allah—the Most High, the Most Abu Bakr, ʿUmar, ʿUthman, ʿAli, the remaining six [promised
Source of Wholeness and Well-Being; from You is all peace, and to Magnified—always and forever. paradise], Hasan, Husain, Hamza, ʿAbbas, the emigrants, the

You returns all peace. Our Lord, make our living in peace and enter helpers; the wives, daughters, progeny, and all other companions
us, by Your Mercy, into the Abode of Peace. Our Lord, blessed and ¡ of the Messenger of Allah a. O Allah, whelm blessings upon Your
exalted are You, O Possessor of Majesty and Bounty. Chosen beloved, our liege Muhammad—Your elect servant and

4. Statement of Oneness .‫ ِא ْ›€ ِאم‬1‫א‬2ِ ~6ْ ‫ ٰœ ِد‬9َ ‫ א‬ztَ Q  zّ

ِّ ‫ َر‬VWِ Xِ ُ ˜ْ ™َ p‫א‬ emissary; the prophet sent to a people without a scripture—and
upon his family and companions, and grant them peace.
َ ُ ْ ْ َ َ َ َ َ ُ ‫א‬1‫ ِא ﱠ‬rَ ٰ d‫ ِאא‬1َ
rُ d‫כ َو‬bŠbُ F‫א‬rُ d،rُ d‫כ‬6ْ ”ِ •‫א‬, 1‫ َو ْŒ َ ُه‬VWX‫א‬ Praise be to Allah.(33 times) Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Cosmos.
Keep us steadfast on the religion of Islam.
12. Statement of Protection

There is none worthy of worship except Allah. He is alone and has
no partner. To Him belongs the Kingdom and for Him is all praise.

َ ْ َ
ُ ‫» َא‬5ُ 7
َ ‫אכ‬VWX‫א‬ ُ ‫א‬1‫ ِא ﱠ‬rَ ٰ d‫א ِא‬1َ
ُ ‫ َو‬VWX‫א‬ Åَ 76ْ Šb © ±² ¹ُ F‫א‬b ‫ى‬6 َ ‫אد‬tِ Mَ ‫א‬6َ ،‫ ِא ْŽ ‚ ُאن‬1‫ْ_ َ^ א‬6 ِ ‫ א‬6َ ،‫ ْوف‬Z"ُ #ْ bَ F‫א‬
He gives life and causes death. (In His hand is all good) and He has َ َ َ َ
power over everything.(3/15 times) There is no strength or power
Allah is greater.(33 times) Allah is ever greater; praise be to Allah in
abundance; glory be to Allah with praise, morning and evening;

ُ" ُ  َ ِوא ﱠ‬#ْ = ‫אכ‬6‫ ّ ِ ِא ﱠ‬àَ —

except with and by Allah—the Most High, the Supreme in Glory.
there is no god but Allah and Allah is greater. Allah is greater and To You belongs all praise, O Allah! Allah! Allah! O Universally
5. Statement of Uniqueness to Allah is all Praise. Merciful! O Singularly Compassionate! Thy security, Thy security

Then recite the supplication for the prayer time.

9. Statement of Reliance
È َ Guide to those gone astray! Guide us by means of, “You alone we

O Allah, what You give cannot be prevented and what You prevent
bū Maʿbad g narrates: Ibn ʿAbbās k told me, “In the lifetime
