sk2p = Slip next stitch knitwise to right needle, knit next 2
stitches together (k2tog), lift slipped stitch over the k2tog
and off the right needle.

SCARF
Cast on 34 sts.
Begin 6 x 6 Rib
Row 1 (Right Side): K8, *p6, k6; repeat from * to last 2
sts, K2.
Row 2: P8, *k6, p6; repeat from * to last 2 sts, p2.
Rows 3–10: Repeat last 2 rows 4 more times.
Row 11: K2, *p6, k6; repeat from * to last 8 sts, p6, k2.
Row 12: P2, *k6, p6; repeat from * to last 8 sts, k6, p2.
Rows 13–20: Repeat last 2 rows 4 more times.
Repeat Rows 1–20 until scarf measures 60”. Bind off in
pattern.

Fringe (optional)
Cast on 20 sts, bind off 19 sts (1 st remains on needle)
*cast on 19 sts (20 sts on needle), bind off 19 sts (1 st
remains on needle); repeat from * until fringe fits evenly
across one end of scarf. Fasten off the last stitch. Make
another fringe in the same manner for other end of scarf.
Sew a fringe to each end of scarf.

Finishing
Hat & Scarf for l’Homme Weave in ends.

Scarf measures 7” wide x 60” long, not including fringe. Row 1: K4, *p6, k6; repeat from * to last 10 sts, p6, k4.

Repeat last 2 rows until piece measures 4 (4½)” from
