3. Construction of B2M

3.1 Construction of RC Beam with PC T Beam or PC Slab

1) Issue of Bar Bend Schedule.(Order cut&bend re-bar from Natseel.)

2) Receive cut & bend bar and check deliver order.

3) Set up reference grid line and reference level by Surveyor(With reference


to the Grid Line Setting-out plan Dwg noAED308_DD_TC_PJW_0901 E).

4) Laying lean concrete.(Concrete G20)

5) Fabricated formwork for the side of beam piece by piece on site.

6) Set up detailed set out beam as per to the approved shop drawing.

7) Laying 12mm plywood at the top of lean concrete set out column as per
drawing.

8) Put up starter bar and coupler (E-Splice for top-down & Dextra for D-Wall
joint)of column.

10) Install Starter bar system [or coupler system/ Styrofoam] will be
embedded for following slab & beam at Construction Joint (for vertical
element)

11) Install hi-rib for construction joint.

12) Close fabricated formwork on the following,

13) Dismantle formwork and patch the hole of tied rod using non-shrink grout.

14) Install T beam or hollow core by other.

15) Lay re-bar or BRC (as per to the approved drawing) and cast concrete

3.2 Construction of RC Beam with RC Slab

3.3 Construction of Permanent R/C Capping Beam :
1) As-built survey to be done before access.

2) As-built survey report to be submitted and any remedial work to be done


by D-wall contractor if necessary.

3) Safety facility to be erected before any construction activity

4) Excavation of ground for capping beam formation to a approved slope and


the excavated soil to be stocked for backfilling.

5) Demarcation to the Diaphragm wall surface to verify cut-off level.

6) Hacking and removal of debris from constructed D-wall.

7) Straightening of starter bar from D-wall.

8) Setting out of capping beam profile.

9) Fabricate capping beam reinforcement[1st 12 m length section]

10) Beam / Slab location and level to be marked onto capping beam
reinforcement rebar

11) Starter bar installation using coupler (Dextra for D-Wall joint) to be done

12) Formwork erection for capping beam.

13) Cast capping beam by direct discharge from concrete truck either by
concrete bucket using mobile crane whichever workable.

14) Curing will be done after placing concrete to capping beam.

15) Proceed with fabrication of capping beam reinforcement for next 12 length
section.

16) Dismantle formwork for cast capping beam.

17) Formwork erection for capping beam.

4. PE CALCULATION

Appendix i

5. CONCRETE WORK

1) Zone Plan for Casino as per attached plan under item no.2.

2) Boom Concrete Pumps are to use in casino zone.

3) 4 to 6 workers to carry out the hose of each boom concrete pump. 2 to 4


vibrators are to be allocated to each casting area. 2 to 4 concreters are to
level concrete. If any area required to power float, 4 to 6 concreters are to
level concrete, and 2 nos. power float machine are to be allocated to each
casting area.

4) RC wall are to be cast by 200mm to 400mm layer by layer. More than


600mm thk RC slab are to be cast by layer by layer.

5) Vibrators shall be qualified or training workers.

6) Before big areas for slab & beam casting, site manager or supervisor shall
orally talk workers casting arrangement.

7) After casting, curing concrete.

Apply approved curing compound to concrete slab, wall or column surface


right after striking formwork.(Curing compound submitted under different
submission)

8) Post concrete inspection.

7. Health & Safety risks and controls


All related workers will be briefed on work method statement and risk
assessment before start work.

a) Risk assessment of RC work in respect to overall scope of works -

8. Access / Egress
i. Working platform of at least 500mm in width (or 2 standard planks) shall
be provided and secured.
ii. Proper step ladders shall be provided for any ingress and egress.
iii. All workers working at height greater than 2 meter shall wear full body
harness secured to proper anchorage points and working at heights should
adhere to the Permit-to-Work at Heights requirements as well.
iv. Working platform to provide pipe handrail at 1.1m upper & 500mm lower.

9. Lighting
Maintaining sufficient and suitable lighting, whether natural or artificial, at
locations in which persons are at work is important. Sembawang will provide
400 to 1000volt flood light on the decking in various locations and also we
will provide mobile generator with spotlights to the work site for localized
illumination for night work.

Additional spotlight will be reserved in the event that any of the used lights
break down. Once the utilization of reserved lights in place, the damaged
ones shall be sent for servicing and repair as soon as possible.
The general Lighting plan are attached in Appendix iv

10. Hazardous materials & substances

No hazardous material and substances are used.

11. Waste Management


1) Excess concrete will be sent back to batching plant
2) Rubbish bin will be allocated in specified location
3) Recycling materials & refuse will be stored separately
4) Construction waste will be disposed by licensed waste collector

13. Special control measures


1) Approval of permit-to work for tower crane lifting operation as well as
working at height will be submitted and approved before start work.
2) The following general control measures against safety, Environment and
Quality shall be required for our scope of work

• Proper PPE must be worn at all time.

• Toolbox meeting will be arranged for every morning before start of


work.

• Regular maintenance is carried out to the tools and equipment in


accordance to manufactures recommendation to ensure that they are in
good and safe working condition.

• All workers are taught and trained with basic safety knowledge by
using proper personnel protective equipment while working.

• Only trained and certified operators are allowed to operate the crane.
All the area will be kept tidy and proper rubbish bin will be provided.

• Supervisor’s inspection will be carried out at every stages and the


quality of work will be assured on each stages.
