Deep in the Brazilian jungle, between Madeira and Purus rivers, south of the famous Amazon is the land of the
Mura people. This land holds over 40 Mura reservations, although the Mura dwell also among the Ribeirinhos
and in the cities of Manaus, Autazes and Borba. The Mura are nomadic, traversing rivers in canoes.
Historically they have suffered discrimination, massacre and disease. Each village has a chief whose office is
hereditary, but holds little power. The Mura live at a subsistence level. Their communities have varied sources
of income. Some harvest natural vegetation from the jungle and fish from the river, then sell this produce to
small commercial and tourist boats that pass by. Other Mura work as lumberjacks, Brazil nut collectors, in
agriculture, or as crew members on commercial fishing or tourist boats.

Tuesday, March 1 – North Chile Team-Lift up the
leaders of outreach and house church groups in
the coastal city of La Serena. They are seeking
ways to intentionally start new groups in the
coming year and also strengthen the new
believers.
Wednesday, March 2 – EK of Colombia-During
the Christmas holidays, two EK missionary
volunteers journeyed deep into the dense forests
in the northwest region of Colombia.
Overflowing river banks caused unplanned
detours requiring these missionaries to tramp
miles through ankle deep mud to reach the
nearest EK village. After sharing the Christmas
story in EK through narrative and drama, one of
the EK village elders shared: “This is the first
time our people have heard Christ’s story in our
own language. God was thinking about us and
brought you here so we could understand His
story and follow His path.” Please take time
today to ask God to give wisdom, strength and
patience to those taking the Good News of
Christ to the EK people of Colombia.
Thursday, March 3 – REAP South Peru-Please
pray for three REAP South Enhancement teams
of Peruvian nationals (+2 gringos) going out to
serve in the highlands of southern Peru during
the month of March. Pray for safety in travel,
protection from illness and harm, unity/harmony
among team members, favor with the community
where they will be serving and that the Lord
receives all the glory and honor for the impact
made.
Friday, March 4 – Western UPG-Indigenous
Mexico –Please pray for the church in ”Buena".
Pray it would grow strong in spite of the
obstacles Satan continues to place in the lives of
the people attempting to draw them away from
God's work.
Saturday, March 5 – Please pray for a team of
college students from Rock Springs Baptist
Church in Easley, S.C. who will be in Barbados
March 5 -12. The group will be working on the
university campus as in previous years but will
also be going onto a new high school campus.
Pray for many divine appointments with young
people and for open hearts that are ready to
receive the gospel.
Sunday, March 6 – Asuncion, Paraguay Urban
Team-The missionaries in Asunción, Paraguay
will have a prayer retreat on Monday, March
7th. The theme for the retreat is "holiness."
Please pray that God will greatly bless during
this retreat, and that for all of us it will be a time
of personal and spiritual growth.
Monday, March 7 – REAP Ecuador-Please pray
for the Huanam Baptist Church as they return to
the adopted village of Toacaso the week of
March 7-12th. Pray that God will open doors for
them to continue sharing the good news with
those who have not yet heard. Also pray for the
new believers there as the teams will disciple
and fellowship with them.
Tuesday, March 8 – Paraguay Interior Team-
Please pray that our team would be able to
distribute the MP3 player preloaded with the
Bible in Guarani to all the Mbya families in
Paraguay. We estimate that there are about
2,500 families in this UPG.
Wednesday, March 9 – Global Mobilizing
Cluster- Lift up the Caribbean Connect Global
Mission Exchange Network in its mission to
equip and send those in the Caribbean who
have been called to missions.
Thursday, March 10 – North Peru Team, Lisa
Tayor-On January 20 I flew to Lima to attend a
meeting with one of my supervisors. The
purpose of the meeting was to evaluate my
goals for 2010 and establish goals for 2011. One
of my goals for 2011 is to plant a church in the
northeastern section of Piura where there is no
existing evangelical presence. The area is
growing with new communities and constructions
popping up everywhere. The make-up of the
population is predominantly middle and upper
class professionals. It also happens to be where
I live. I ask you to join me in praying for this
challenge. Pray for me as I continue to develop
relationships in the community; Pray as I share
this desire with neighbors in order to measure
interest; Pray for God to call out people of
peace; Pray that God would send His chosen
laborers to be on a church planting team; Pray
as we seek effective ways to reach out to middle
and upper class professionals.
Friday, March 11 – Uruguay Team-Pray for the
FBC Forney, TX volunteer team who will be
working in Minas from March 11-18. They will
be prayer walking, doing children’s ministry, light
construction, and other evangelistic activities
with the purpose of starting a new Outreach
group.
Saturday, March 12 – REAP Ecuador-FBC
Festus/Crystal City will return to Ecuador the
week of March 12-20. During the last trip to their
adopted town of Uyumbicho there were several
new believers who were baptized. Pray that
those new believers are growing and sharing
their new faith. Ask for new opportunities for the
team to testify of their faith in Christ with those
who have not yet believed in Him.
Sunday, March 13 – Volunteers through the
International Mission Board and Baptist Global
Response along with their Haitian partners have
now constructed more than 350 houses for
displaced families living in tents since the
January 2010 earthquake. Give praise to God
for ALCOA’s generous donation of aluminum
sheets, which will provide roofs for 200
additional houses. Pray for families who have
received and now occupy one of these secure
houses to give testimony of God’s goodness in
their lives. Pray that these families will hear the
words of God and build their lives upon the
Rock, Jesus Christ (Matthew 7:24-25).

Monday, March 14 – Mark and Karen Alexander
in Cordoba, Argentina ask prayer for R as she
leads out in the university ministry at the national
university in Villa Maria. Pray for the Christian
students as they multiply their small groups this
year.
Tuesday, March 15 – People of the Patagonia of
Argentina-Please pray for the spiritual growth of
a key couple in a Bible study group in Trelew.
They accepted Christ in early 2010 and have
been growing steadily in their faith. Recently,
they have come under attack on various fronts
by Satan as he attempts to remove the threat
their faith presents to his plans. Pray also for
others in the group who have yet to accept
Christ as their Savior.
Wednesday, March 16 – REAP Ecuador:
Almost all of our REAP Ecuador team is
currently in the U.S. for stateside assignment. In
our absence, please pray for the stateside
churches as they travel to Ecuador to their
adopted areas. Ask God to help these churches
as they begin to depend more upon the
Ecuadorian nationals to help them in their
ministries. Pray for the very important
relationships and partnerships between stateside
churches and national believers.
Thursday, March 17 – Western UPG -
Indigenous Mexico - Anthony and Melissa ask
you to pray
for God to open the door to a new community to
begin working there. Join with them in asking
God to show them exactly where He would have
them start a new work. Pray that they will have
God's peace in this process.
Friday, March 18 – Global Mobilizing Cluster-
Continue to pray for the students at the Cross
Cultural Missionary Training Center in
Venezuela and the mobilizers who serve them.
Pray for strength, discernment, good health and
open doors.
Saturday, March 19 – Buenos Aires Team-
Please pray for the 2 new strategic partnerships
developing in Buenos Aires. Lift up Stateside
partners that are coming to make a commitment
to work alongside our Argentine churches to
strengthen existing work and start new churches.
Sunday, March 20 – Stephen and Susan Bowers
of Colombia share this request. R is only one of
five believers among his people group in
Colombia. He graduated in November from
Bible school and is back home sharing the Good
News with his people. He has experienced
strong opposition from people in his home
village. However, people in far away isolated
villages have a hunger and thirst for God’s
Word. Please pray that the Word of God would
increase and multiple among the T people.
Please pray that God would protect R and his
family and provide for their daily needs.
Monday, March 21 – Global Mobilizing Cluster-
Pray that the Missions Meetings in Peru, the
Indigenous Encounter in Guatemala and the
Sinergia Conference in El Salvador will
accomplish their goals of equipping, encouraging
and challenging those that attend them.
Tuesday, March 22 – Asuncion, Paraguay Urban
Team-Ann Pearce and Jo Yates, veteran
missionaries in Asuncion, Paraguay have
followed God’s leadership to Juan Agusto
Saldivar, a small town in the metropolitan area.
Working with members of First Baptist Church in
San Lorenzo who live in J.A.S., they meet
weekly with a small group of new believers in the
community. (Three people were baptized in
October, 2010.) They have been praying for
mature believers to come along side and work
with this new outreach group after they retire
from the field later this year. God has given them
two families who seem interested in working in
this area. Praise God with them for this answer
to prayer. Pray for one of the men and his adult
son and daughter along with the middle-
aged man and his wife who are seeking God's
direction for joining the church planting team in
J. Augusto Saldivar. Pray for this new work that
it will grow and be a light in the community that
will draw many to the Savior.
Wednesday, March 23 – Intercede for David and
Donna Chamberlain (Finance Team, Americas
Support Center) in the recent loss of Donna's
mother from a battle with cancer. Her father is
also facing cancer treatment. Pray for a
covering of God's grace as they face this
situation. May the Lord be glorified in some way
through all of this, whether He chooses to heal
her father divinely or through the medical
caregivers, or by ultimate healing in heaven.
Thursday, March 24 – Global Mobilizing Cluster-
A GCC group in Brazil is working towards
sending their first missionary to a closed
country. Please pray for discernment, and open
doors.
Friday, March 25 – South Peru Team-Please
pray for the members of a vision team that will
be in the city of Arequipa, Peru, on March 26-29.
This small team will investigate ways to partner
with one or more local churches to encourage
and continue church planting efforts in and
around the city. Pray that God will clearly lead
any partnership activities and that the churches
will clearly communicate their expectations and
vision.
Saturday, March 26 – Western UPG -
Indigenous Mexico - March 26-27 there will be
another storying session in Anthony and
Melissa's village. Pray for the participants this
weekend as we work through their story sets and
learn about the different cults we deal with in the
villages.
Sunday, March 27 – EK Team in Colombia-In
December, you were asked to pray for the EK
team leaders. Recently one of the EK team
leaders and her husband felt led to organize a
small group of EK neighbors in their home, share
with them the Chronological Bible Stories, and
lead them in Bible study. Today, a new Bible
study group has been started and an EK has
come to faith in Christ. Pray that this group will
become a house church as our Heavenly Father
continues to use Chronological Bible Stories as
a “bridge” to reach the EK in this region of
Colombia.
Monday, March 28 – Peoples of Northern
Argentina. Santiago del Estero, Argentina – The
church in Bajo Grande has ministered for many
years to small, isolated villages by using an old
bus to transport people to and from church
services. As the bus aged and finally had to be
sold, Pastor O could see that a new approach
would be necessary if the people in these
isolated villages were going to have an
opportunity to hear and respond to the Gospel.
Please pray for the people of Bajo Grande as
they are praying for 12 target villages with the
goal of starting new groups that will ultimately
become new churches. Pray for open hearts
and homes and that godly leaders will emerge in
these new locations. Pray for strength, courage
and wisdom for the people of Bajo Grande as
they try to carry church to the people instead of
carrying people to the church.
Tuesday, March 29 – Global Mobilizing Cluster-
The Brazilian home and foreign mission boards
are trying to work together to reach the many
"foreigners" that have immigrated to their
country. A coordinator is needed to help direct
this work. Ask that God's choice will step forward
to lead in this area.

Wednesday, March 30 – Support Center-Pray

for the Americas Personnel Support teams as
they seek to serve the 750 personnel and 500
children of the seven affinities who work in the
Americas, in areas such as field medical,
member care, and children’s education.

Thursday, March 31 – North Chile Team-Donna

Mae Bobby asks that you pray with her as she
teaches the youth at First Baptist La Serena in
Sunday School. She wants to disciple them and
give these young people a love for God and His
WORD.
