Introduction

God had a way to support the poor during the harvest called gleaning.

Lev 19:9-10 "When you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not reap your field right up to its edge, neither shall you gather the gleanings after your harvest. And you shall not strip your vineyard bare, neither shall you gather the fallen grapes of your vineyard. You shall leave them for the poor and for the sojourner: I am the LORD your God.

Eph 4:28 Let the thief no longer steal, but rather let him labor, doing honest work with his own hands, so that he may have something to share with anyone in need.

Ruth Did It God's Way If we want God's favor it's not about a feeling or what we think is right. It's all about doing it God's way.

How to have eternal life

Coming to Christ is God's way of salvation. It requires that we humble ourselves before him.

When we have compassion for others we share the message of the Gospel with them. Sixty percent of people who use to attend church said they would come back if a friend invited them.
