Development and enhancement of ODIN software. ODIN is a stock market

trading tool. It is CTCL software. ODIN has client-server architecture. ODIN
provides a platform for brokers and end point users for trading in multiple
stock exchanges. Applications are developed in VC++. Database has been
developed in MS-SQL. It is designed for Microsoft Windows. ODIN server
communicates with different exchanges through MSMQ. Communication with
ODIN client and other component takes place through TCP/IP.

Key functionalities include:

• To convert ODIN server from single threaded to multithread.
• Designing of Surveillance component whose functionality is setting
trading limits, validating dealer account and checking and storing of
all the trading done by a dealer.

My responsibilities in this project include:

1. To design ODIN server in order to convert it from single threaded to
multi-threaded in order to improvise the overall performance of the
server
2. Designing and development of Surveillance in order to store dealer
data in proper hierarchy with minimal performance load.

Software Engineer December

Development and maintenance of various applications for MRI software like

Toshiba Vantage. Applications developed are GUI and Consoles based
application. GUI applications are developed in Visual C++ and Console
applications are developed in C and C++. Was also sent onsite to Toshiba,
Japan for application enhancement and study of new requirements. Worked
on various design tools and unit testing tools. Provided technical support for
performance issues, usability issues and critical application problems, as
required. Have a good knowledge of MRI functionalities and DICOM standards.

Duration : 2 years and 10 months(February 2007 – December 2009)
Role : Designer and Developer

Description: Main requirement of the project was to port their existing

application which was in Linux to Windows. We had to do reverse
engineering and to design architecture of the system that we need to
develop in Windows. Also the raw data collected from the scan has to be
converted and stored in DICOM format which is an international format for
MRI. There are many modules involved in this system. Some application
communicates using MSMQ and some communicates using TCP/IP socket.

Key functionalities include:

• To design and develop Dynamic Link Library (Dll) in VC++ which will
have different customized GUI controls.
• Designing and developing a watchdog which invokes all the
application and maintain status of the entire system. In case of
 abnormal activity, application prepares report and restart entire
system.

My responsibilities in this project include:

1. Designing and development in VC++.
2. Performance optimization and providing support to client in live test
environment.
