A. Background

Artificial intelligence (AI) is a part of computer science that makes machines

(computer) can do work as and as well as humans do. In the era of globalization all activities
related to learn and work activities really need computer. Technological advances make it
easier for human to do daily activities.

Computer with human intelligence (or more) will have big impact on human life in
the future. Therefore, artificial intelligence is an important thing in the development of
technology in this century. For that reason,artificial intelligence is very important to be
understood and studied by humans. So I choose this topic so we can find out about artificial
intelligence.

A.Definition of artificial intelligence (AI)

Artificial intelligence is one branch of science that related to use machine for solve
complicated problems in a humane way.This is usually done by copying the characteristics
and analogies of human intelligence, and applying them as algorithms known by
computers.AI usually associated with computer science,but also related to other branch such
mathematics,psychology,observation,biology,philosopy and others.The ability to combine
knowledge from all fields will be benefit for progress in creating artificial intelligence.
At the first computer only used for counting tool,but along with the times,computer
role more dominates human life.Computer no longer used for counting tool,computer is
expected to used for do something that can done by human.Human can be smart to solve all
problem in the world because human have experience and knowledge.But only knowledge is
not enough,human also given mind to do reasoning.
To make computer can act like and as good like human,computer must be given
knowledge to think.So AI will give some method to supply the computer with that
component,so computer can be a smart machine.

B.Benefit of artificial intelligence

 Reduce the mistake

AI can help us to reduce the mistake and chance to achieving accuracy with high
precision.This is applied in research like space exploration,AI has given information
and shipped to explore the space.Because they’re machine withmetal bodies they
more resilient and have more ability to survive in space

AI can be helpful application.Example like apple has Siri or Cortana to help

user.People also get daily help from AI like gps.Smartphone is an example of how
people use AI everyday

 Medical application

 In medical field we have find AI application.Doctor assess patiens and health
risk with the help of artificial intelligence.It give them information about side effect of
medicine.Most popular AI application is radiosurgery.Radiosurgery used for tumor
operations and it can help in operations without damaging any surrounding tissue.

C.Difference between natural and artificial intelligence

In this world we have 2 kinds of intelligence namely natural lintelligence and artificial
intelligence
Natural intelligence is the intelligence that humans possess
When compared with natural intelligence (human intelligence) AI has some
commercial advantage like :

 AI is permanent
 AI is easier to distribute
 AI is cheaper
 AI is more consistent
 AI can do a job faster
 AI can do a job better

Intelligence is a gift for humans given by god,we must be grateful for what god has
given to us.AI can be created by human and make an amazing sophistication especially for
our life.For that human be expected to use their skills and creativity in artificial intelligence
so human ready for better life in future.
