Transliteration

[031:016 Ya bunayya (Oh my son) innaha (indeed it) in (if) taku (it be) mithqala (equal
to the weight) habbatin (of a grain) min (of) khardalin (mustard seed) fatakun (and
though it be) fee (in) sakhratin (a rock) aw (or) fee (in) alssamawati (the heavens) aw
(or) fee (in) al-ardi (the earth) ya/ti (will bring forth) biha (it) Allahu (Allah) inna
(verily) Allaha (Allah is) lateefun (is Subtle in bringing out that grain) khabeerun
(Well-Aware of its place)] Surah Luqman

Translation

[031:016 Oh my son! If it be anything equal to the weight of a grain of mustard seed,


and though it be in a rock, or in the heavens or in the earth, Allah will bring it forth.
Verily, Allah is Subtle in bringing out that grain, Well-Aware of its place]

Exegesis

Before I explain the above mentioned holy verse it would be pertinent to start the lecture
that Musa al-Kazim 765-799 once said that this grandeur is only of the five sacred holy

personalities and of four infallible that “ Allah declared us Allah


declared all imams of the existence of their own decision – it means that they only think

what Allah intends”. And the point where the will of Allah stands is called Muhammad
(Salla 'Llahu 'alayhi wa sallam), Imam Ali (AS), Bibi Fatima, Imam Hussain (AS), and

Imam Hassan (AS). And there is one more hadith “ Allah declared Aimaa
the nest of their own will”. We do understand that the decisions made by
Allah and the holy family Ahlul Bayt is so unison and equal in the contents that as if a
chick comes out of its nest. The decisions of Ahlul Bayt and Allah are compatible in
synchronization. That’s why we have been guided that if parents of us invite us to shirk
we have to negate them but in other domestic and worldly affairs we have to obey them.
And we have to follow the footprints of that personality whom our all actions would go
for the accountability. So we have to follow the footprints who takes us to the way of
Allah – masoomeen. We have to follow them who have noble deeds. When we say and
discuss about the obedience to Allah it means only obedience to Allah and nothing else.
Other is entirely haram. And it is only possible by the holy family to carry out what is
halal (lawful or permissible in Islam) in daily affairs of life. There could be no doubt in
this regard, if there is he is out of the circle of Islam. So in the world for the pure and
perfect obedience to Allah should either Muhammad (Salla 'Llahu 'alayhi wa sallam) or
like Muhammad (Salla 'Llahu 'alayhi wa sallam). Then the humanity can see the true
obedience to Allah Subhana-Wa-Ta’aala. In the mortal life Muhammad (Salla 'Llahu
'alayhi wa sallam) make us recognize the true personalities to do the obedience to Allah,
that Ali is from me and I am of Ali, Hussain is from me and I am of Hussain, Hassan is
from me and I am of Hassan, their all belongings are mine and mine are theirs. As a
student gets the true reflection of his teacher, in the very same way holy persons whose
names have been mentioned above possessed the same reflexion of Muhammad (Salla
'Llahu 'alayhi wa sallam) in their daily affairs of life. These personalities have strengths
in the form of miracles. Miracle is important for Muhammad (Salla 'Llahu 'alayhi wa
sallam) and likewise miracle is also important for the defenders of the prophethood. If
somebody has the miracle he would be the prophet or imam of his time.

Muhammad Jareer Ibn Tabrerr writes in his book “Dalial ul Imamat” that “we all met
Imam Hassaan (AS) in Mecca. Imam Hassan (AS) was standing I asked him that he was
imam of the time, he should have showed them a miracle. He asked what they wanted to
see. We said that any miracle should have been shown to us. Imam Hassan (AS) was
standing in front of Ka’bah he pointed his finger towards it and raised it towards the sky.
Ka’bah raised and remained suspended in the air for many minutes. And many people
also passed from under the Ka’bah. After that Ka’bah again came and fixed at its own
place”. The writer says that all saw that miracle.

Jabber Ibn Abdullah writes that they were in Madina. They asked Imam Hassan (AS) if
he had any miracle with him. Imam said let him come back then he would let them
know. After saying it Imam Hassan (AS) went to the sky straight. And for two or three

days Imam Hassan (AS) did not come back. When he came back he told where he had
gone, he ate what he intended and he got what he wanted.

Imam Hassan and Imam Hussain in their childhood were playing in a garden. At a fruit
tree they paid their attention. Imam Hassan (AS) called a tree, and that tree came running
to him as if a child meets after many days to his father.

We told you the miracles of the personality who was born today – Imam Hassan (AS).
Whose maternal grandfather can go to the skies in moments, can his grandson not do it?
Whose father picks up the door on two fingers, and if his son should suspend Ka’bah in
the air, it is naturally impossible.

Muhammad (Salla 'Llahu 'alayhi wa sallam) once was carrying Imam Hassan (AS) on his
shoulder and said “ he is to live in paradise. and the

person who loves him/his family would also remain in paradise. and
who loves his lovers would also remain in paradise.

It is in the narration that whoever loved them, and who loved their

parents he would be in paradise after the doomsday


with me”. This is the grandeur of Imam Hussain and Imam Hassan. The personality of
Imam Hassan is immensely humble, wiser, and of high civilization of humanity.

Allah gave equal status to both of them. Once they both were writing a letter. After
having it written they showed it to their mother. And asked their mother to let them
know who wrote more beautifully. Hazrat Zahira said them to ask their father. Ali said
to ask Muhammad (Salla 'Llahu 'alayhi wa sallam). Muhammad (Salla 'Llahu 'alayhi wa
sallam) said that he could not decide. He waited for Gabriel. Gabriel also said that he
was unable to let them know. Then Israfeel was consulted. Israfeel said that only Allah
could give His final decision. Then Gabriel brought the message of Allah that Hazrat
Zahira should have decided. She was wearing one scarf round her neck. She opened and
spread its pearls on floor. She put the condition that he who would collect more pearls
his letter would be considered beautifully written. Both brothers started collecting the
pearls. Allah gave order to Gabriel to divide the pearls equally between both brothers.

Last question I would like to make it clear that most of the people say that in namaz some
other imaginations come while performing it. So if the imagination of Ahlul Bayt came
what would be the condition of namaz? I would like to mention that in tashhud we recite
Durood. In Durood salutation has been sent to Muhammad (Salla 'Llahu 'alayhi wa
sallam) and Ale-Muhammad (Salla 'Llahu 'alayhi wa sallam). So naturally imagination

would come. If by the imagination of this our namaz had been declared batil, then it
would never have been the Durood.
