Chamber presents 2021 Business Excellence awards


The Livingston County Area Chamber of Com-
merce Business Excellence Awards recognize de-
serving businesses and non-profits that exemplify a
commitment to excellence that makes the Livingston
County area a better place to do business, work and
live.
The community nominated businesses from Jan.
12 though Jan. 25 via an online link. Nominations
were received in 20 categories. For each category, a
business needed to be a Chamber member and ex-
emplify some or all of the following criteria:
n Have a business or industrial investment in Liv-
ingston County.
n Exhibit outstanding community service.
n Be a role model for business development, mar-
ket expansion and community development.
n Demonstrate outstanding efforts to promote
business development and quality of life in Living-
ston County.
A selection committee reviewed and evaluated all
nominations. Finalists were announced Feb. 5.
On Feb. 25, the Virtual Business Excellence Awards
event was held. Nearly 100 businesses, non-profits
and community members attended to support and
recognize the finalists and their communities.
The event kicked off with a Virtual Mixer with spe-
cial guest mixologist, Joe Yantachka, owner of Party-
man Catering.
