Abstract. The Moroccan farmer suffers from high costs of electricity and fuel, which
he needed for irrigation, these last years, indeed, farmers have used butane gas canisters as
an energy source for powering the motors of pumping water, it should be noted that for
irrigate a hectare of corn, it takes 100 butane gas canisters, and that 90% of the whole
perimeter of the area chaouia ourdigha is irrigated so [1] , In this context, our study is the
application of biogas technology resulting from the fermentation of organic waste in rural
areas, for this purpose, we are interested in a first time to the density of livestock waste and
waste organic at the most renowned agricultural regions in Morocco, namely regions
DOUKKALA-ABDA, CHAOUIA Ourdigha-and-TADLA AZILAL, Our study shown that by
upscaling these three regions of Morocco, the potential of biomass is approximately
5’388’382, 25 MWH or 572015100,84 m3 of biogas or 0,46 Mtep per year. As part of our
research we conducted a series of experiments to accelerate the production of biogas, we
built a pilot plant in a model farm, the installation is Indian type [2] , which we equip with a
system of agitation and control parameters, the mixture consists of introduced dung of cattle,
paunch contents and slaughterhouse waste, the acceleration of the production takes place in
the presence of conditions for active microbial culture with rates of substrates well
determined.
