The announcement of the KINGDOM to Israel was the announcement of their salvation, restoration and gathering under the rule of Messiah. Deuteronomy chapter 30 is a warning to Israel of what would happen if they violated the
covenant. They would be SCATTERED and end up in CAPTIVITY. God then promises them RESTORATION if they obeyed his COMMAND.

Deuteronomy 30
1And it shall come to pass, when all these things are come upon thee, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before thee, and thou shalt call them to mind among all the nations, whither the LORD thy God hath driven thee, 2And shalt return unto the LORD thy God, and shalt obey his voice according to all that I command thee this day, thou and thy children, with all thine heart, and with all thy soul; 3That then the LORD thy God will turn thy captivity, and have compassion upon thee, and will return and gather thee from all the nations, whither the LORD thy God hath scattered thee. 4If any of thine be driven out unto the outmost parts of heaven, from thence will the LORD thy God gather thee, and from thence will he fetch thee: 5And the LORD thy God will bring thee into the land which thy fathers possessed, and thou shalt possess it; and he will do thee good, and multiply thee above thy fathers.

6And the LORD thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live. 7And the LORD thy God will put all these curses upon thine enemies, and on them that hate thee, which persecuted thee. 8And thou shalt return and obey the voice of the LORD, and do all his commandments which I COMMAND thee this day. 9And the LORD thy God will make thee plenteous in every work of thine hand, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy land, for good: for the LORD will again rejoice over thee for good, as he rejoiced over thy fathers: 10If thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law, and if thou turn unto the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul. 11For this commandment which I command thee this day, it is not hidden from thee, neither is it far off. 12It is not in heaven, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it? 13Neither is it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it? 14But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.

God would turn Israels CAPTIVITY and CIRCUMCISE their HEART and bring them back to the LAND when they OBEYED HIS COMMANDMENT. His COMMANDMENT is found in VERSES 11-14 which is a DESCRIPTION of the GOSPEL. There is a correlation between Deuteronomy chapter 30 and Romans chapter 10. Rom.10:6 But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:)
7Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.) 8But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. 12For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. 13For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. 14How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? 15And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

In other words Israel would be restored to the land, and return from captivity through the GOSPEL. The preaching of the gospel of the KINGDOM was the RESTORATION of ISRAEL.

God circumcised their heart and brought them into the Land (not a physical land but the REST that is in CHRIST). James wrote to the twelve tribes scattered, that were being gathered in Christ. James 1:1 James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are
SCATTERED abroad, greeting.

The GATHERING is in CHRIST. Ephesians 1:10,That in the dispensation of the fullness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him. This would happen at the climax of the ages, the end of the Old Covenant age.

Ephesians 1:1 [He planned] for the maturity of the times and the climax of the ages to unify
all things and head them up and consummate them in Christ, [both] things in heaven and things on the earth.
