Travel Motivators
Travel motivations can be defined as those factors that create
a person’s desire to travel.

Motivators are the internal psychological influences affecting


individual choices. Motivations operate on individuals travel
purchase choices within the framework already set by the
determinants of demand. Several attempts have been made to
study as to why people wish to travel or become tourists.

may be grouped into the following four broad categories.
Physical Motivators
They are related to physical relaxation and rest, sporting
activities and specific treatment.

Cultural Motivators

These are identified by the desire to known and learn about


other cultures,life style,folk art,music ,dance etc
Status and Prestige Motivators
These are identified with the needs of personal esteem and
personal development. These motivators also relate to
travel for business or professional interests, for the purpose
of education of pursuit of hobbies.

interest,fairs,festivals,museums,dances etc to know more
about the life style of people from different countries.

This include people’s desire to visit their

A large number of people are motivated to travel because
of spiritual motives,i.e.visiting holy spaces, shrines etc.
The number of people who seek solace in such places is
increasing dramatically

People need to travel for business related reasons and this


type of travel both domestic and international is growing by
leaps and bounds. People travel to expand their business
,attend meetings, conferences and exhibitions
