LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION FOR BILAL HAQ

Bilal Haq is an affable, amiable and intelligent young man. He is industrious
and ambitious by nature and honest beyond reproach. I had the good fortune to have
taught Bilal for one year in secondary school while he was a student at TASIS, the
American School in England. As a student here, Bilal made a positive impression on
the whole community because of his pleasant disposition and calm deportment. He
loved to share a laugh. He always smiled readily, laughed frequently and conversed
easily, which made him so well-liked by his peers and so highly thought of by the
faculty here at TASIS. Bilal Haq will make a welcome addition to any professional
environment. He is a team-oriented person who works well with others.
The AP Economics course that I taught Bilal was demanding and fast paced.
Without question, he handled the rigours of this course quite well. Cerebral and
intellectually curious by nature, Bilal consistently proved himself to be a highly
intelligent young man. On a day-to-day basis, he tackled the difficult parts of the
course with alacrity. Possessing a sharp and agile mind, Bilal assimilated even the
most theoretical of concepts with remarkable ease. Readily, he saw connections from
one piece of theory to another, which not every student was able to do. Many students
could not see the ‘wood through the trees’ in this year-long Economics course, but
Bilal had a sense of perspective, which allowed him to see how all the components of
the subject matter fitted together.
As a student, Bilal was reliably organised and composed. He came to every
lesson with an appetite for work and a desire to do well. He was always focused in
class. He showed good ability to concentrate through lessons, which were over an
hour in length. His notes were always detailed and meticulous. Earnest and diligent,
Bilal worked effectively in his dorm room at night during study hours without fail.
As a person, Bilal was a role model for other students to follow. He unerringly
turned himself out smartly on campus. A prefect in the boarding house, Bilal proved
himself to be a responsible and considerate leader. He showed terrific leadership
qualities and dependability by ensuring the students in his care always kept their
rooms tidy, arrived to class on time and observed the rules of the dorm. In dealing
with younger students, Bilal was consistently respectful, measured and even-handed.
He always used his position of leadership responsibly showing care and consideration
for the students in his charge.
There is no doubt in my mind that Bilal will make a fine professional. I
recommend him unreservedly for any assignment.

Sincerely,

AP Economics Teacher, TASIS School
