Dear State Committee,

I was shocked to find an email sent from the NDGOP defaming the character of my brother, Rep.
Luke Simons. I find this very disingenuous since this MAJOR opinion came from one person in
our organization. From what I gather the executive committee was not even consulted. I would
expect an immediate redaction of this statement. Are we not the party that believes in “due
process?”

May I remind the committee of all the actual crimes, convictions, and continuing substance abuse
issues. There is an extreme amount of hypocrisy from Republican leadership in this situation. Weak
leaders fear the left. That is not who we should be. These are unfounded accusations that did not
even warrant a formal complaint.
1. There have been no formal accusations.
2. Absolutely no due process.
3. Everyone that knows Luke, knows this is not his character. Yes, he may make you mad on
policy positions, but sexual harassment is not in his character.
4. He was elected by district 36 and his executive committee and constituents love him.

This is the behavior of the Nancy Pelosi democrats and the Never Trumpers. We are above these
smear tactics to get rid people we do not agree with. I have no clue why the NDGOP would get
involved against one of their own. I am formally asking for an immediate redaction of this position.
If need be, call a special meeting.
